I absolutely love this resort and am totally thrilled the little mermaid is a part of it she is my favorite! Question my family and I are considering. Going in early March (3-7/8) ish and are hoping for free dining I know it's not guaranteed but we are hoping since they offered it last year for this time. I am a nursing student and this is my spring break. Is the art of animation apart of the free dinning in the little mermaid rooms? Does it depend? Thanks!

It's my understanding if you received a pin number in the mail you could get the FD for the LM rooms...that is how we got ours for November. However if you didn't get a pin and just go through the regular booking process online the LM rooms were excluded from the FD plan offer. Maybe this will change for when you want to go!

Except for those of us who booked last Spring for Sept. LM rooms were included then. It is the overwhelming popularity of the LM section that may keep it off the FD list for future offers.

The menu at the food court looks good, but my ds (18) likes chicken strips, pizza and hamburgers. Do they have any of these items in the food court????

I'm sooo excited about our stay! I can't wait!

Thanks for answering the question about the kitchen! :thumbsup2

Great thread! Just booked a Little Mermaid room for what I assume will be the 3rd or 4th Star Wars Weekend early next June. Not sure if I'm more excited about SWW or staying at AoA!

I wonder if there will be any room-only passholder rates by then?

Yes, they had pizza, burgers and I believe chicken strips..The strips were called something else tho:)

Thank you jcarwash.

When I put the AoA resort map against ASMo it appears to be very far. We usually stay in the Toy Story building, building 8 at AoA would be passed Toy Story, a short gap between buildings, another set of buildings and finally building 8. It appears very far.

We might rent a car which would negate the distance but it seems pretty far if we don't rent a car.

Thanks again.

Two questions - Is there a charge for WiFi? And has anyone been to Disney in early Feb and been able to swim (i.e. temps actually hot enough)?

Just booked 3 nights in November in the Little Mermaid section. My DD is going to flip. Ariel is her favorite princess. I am going to try to keep it a surprise until we leave. I sure hope the resort doesn't seem as big as it looks on paper. It looks like a haul from LM to Animation Hall and the main pool.:rotfl2:

Not sure if this was covered or not; but how are the buses?! Do they run on time? The ride to the parks & DTD?!

So excited I will be here in 59 days.

We wandered over there in June when only the Nemo section was open and decided to take a bus from there to our next destination and they were running regularly and wherever we were waiting for, 2 buses pulled up at the same time.

We were there in Late January for MLK several years ago, and whole it was cold most of the time there were a couple of days we could have easily been in the pool 70ish). We went in Feburary another year and were in the pool several times no problem.

BTW, we're from Georgia/Florida so we're not exactly polar bears when it comes to swimming weather ;)

I realy hope there will be a special, either a 30% off or free dining, in April, because I find the suites very expensive, and my kids are too young to book two separate rooms. (ds 6, dd 4 and dd2).

We could get a regular (LM) room since my youngest isn't 3 yet, but it seems like suicide to have 3 such young kids in such small space.

I'm coming from Canada, and plane tickets are atrociously expensive, so if the resort was a little cheaper, it would be easier.

Well, we had to change from AoA Cars suite to POFQ, now we are moving from POFQ to BWI and we have to drop one night because of DH's job, but I don't mind since we still get to go
