Okay, don't laugh. :confused3 Now I need info please. I've been told by many Disney fans who have gone down in Nov. that the weather ranges from the 80s to a high in the 40s. Shouldn't we pack for both hot and cold? What I mean is I want to swim even if we hit colder weather. It can get cold there sometimes in Nov. doesn't it?
We have been in Jan and swam in pool but went week before Christmas 2003 and FROZE. We had to purchase sweats etc and had a 6 month old so we could not stay out after nightfall b/c it was even colder. You just never know.

Just be prepared for the unusual as well. We had a couple mornings in 2010 that dipped into the 20's. Capris wouldn't have quite done it for me on those mornings. I actually wore thermal underwear under my clothes and was still cold. I think the cold combined with the high humidity just feels so much colder than 20 something in the midwest. Thankfully that weather is not typical. But we certainly know now that it IS possible.
We went to the Bahamas at that time and they broke records for the cold. Were in Key West and they were freezing and did not have heat in their homes. You just never know.

Here is a picture of the mini fridge with the freezer section at the top. This is from the full kitchenette report by the Disney Food Blog.

Does anyone know if this is the same size fridge planned for LM or just suites? Sorry for question I know I have read several times but speed reading through all of this in just 3 days trying to catch up as you can see that's why I have so many posts.

Has anyone received AoA themed Mickey Mail? I just realized that we probably won't, because we switched from POP and have already gotten the packet with resort info some time ago. Also, what do the luggage tags look like this year? I do love Mickey Mail!
What is Mickey Mail?

Hi All,
First post on the boards but have been a long time follower. Will be at AoA at the end of September in the LM rooms. I'm so excited! Can anyone tell me when you typically get your Mickey Mail? Thanks!

Thanks for pics. Led me to ask how much (low range) are trading pins? Have been purchasing some on ebay for my son to give throughout Oct as gifts before trip. Also he loves to collect those pennies so I'll have to remember to pack his passport book for them.

Does anyone know if they have any boys Lion King shirts. Size 10ish, not little boys. Thanks. I am hoping since they have a LK section, they may have some merchandise.

We will be there in Sept and DS is a huge Lion King fan, but we are staying in LM.

The girls Ariel shirts are super cute. DD will love them.

Thanks everyone for all of the photos. I cannot wait until September !!!
I ordered a Lion King shirt off etsy late last year for when my then 8 yr old son saw The Lion King off-Broadway. It could have even been personalized. Check that out.

I had a ticker and then changed email addresses and my ticker disappeared. Now I can't remember how to add one. Where can I go to add a simple one? Isn't there a link on disboards? Thanks for your help.

There's several ticker sites but the one I know off the top of my head is distickers.com.

First time flying; what is EBCI?

Early Bird Check In, the Southwest service. $10 per person to enable automatic check-in within 36 hours of your flight.

We expect the LM fridges to be smaller and to omit the freezer compartment. Look in post #1 of the Pop Century thread to see an example: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2914418

What is Mickey Mail?

Mickey Mail is the term to describe one or two mailings 3-4 weeks in advance of your arrival, including your Disney Magical Express vouchers and luggage tags and your resort/package reservation information with souvenir bag tags.

We will be at AOA Oct 31 2012 thru Nov 6 2012. I was wondering if any room or need to decorate as holiday will come and go on our 1st day there.

Replying to : We have decorated the window the past 4 or 5 trips. I was thinking that it may not be good because it is so new. Not sure what to do.

Here is my window from 2010 at POP:-)
Sorry we I said "need" I meant from the perspective of my 9 yr old.

Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions. Got all 244 pages in in 3 nights; whew I'm exhausted and very excited - just over 4 months to AOA.

Does Mickey Mail come to my house or to AAA (seeing I booked through AAA)?

It will come to AAA most likely and they will let you know when it is in !!!I would imagine if you booked on line or over phone they will be mailing to you from AA!!

That's what I thought since this was always the case when we booked cruises or an all inclusive. Thanks!

:rotfl2: and I thought you just wanted to please us and was looking for permission not to decorate this year. My babies are adults and they would be upset if I didn't, so I guess from their point of view I "need" to.

Yes, my packet came from AAA, with a Disney packet inside. Now I'm stressing about whether they'll be able to get the Magical Express stuff to me if we change who is going on the trip. DS's GF is definitely not going, but I still haven't heard if a friend is replacing her. They (AAA & WDW) said I can make the change up to 72 hours in advance, but I am losing sleep over it at this point (12 days out).:worried:

If you change at this point, it probably won't matter if you get new ME stuff or not. All you need is enough tags for the each bag and a voucher for each person to get on ME....they do not need to have the correct names on them!

Did someone end up showing the new room key?? I found a you tube video showing how it works so I can post if there are still questions....;)

For those that used the AAA discount, can you share what % it was?

I'm looking at a trip to AOA in Feb 2013 :cool1: (I know rates and discounts aren't available yet) but just wanting to hear the joyous news that discounts for this resort have been available in the past! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the help!
