Just booked our trip yesterday! Were going in December(never gone before in that month) and we are staying in the Little Mermaid buldings.....Super Excited!!!pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: Also gonna do MVMCP for the first time!! Cant wait!
Did the MVMCP in 2003 and LOVED it. My parents were with us and my mom had always wanted to visit during the Christmas holidays. It was magical. After that visited Universal and Sea World with the older children so this will be our first real visit since about 1996 and our first ever stay on-site.

Regarding the bed questions, the one in the bedroom is on the firmer side. However I have a very soft bed at home and I had no trouble sleeping easily.

The Murphy bed is very easy to open. It is a pretty firm mattress on a wooden frame. DD15 and DD12 say it is very comfy. I find it less so than the regular bed. The sofa bed takes a little oompf to open. As with most sofa beds, a mattress that can fold up is less comfy than a reguler one. I could feel the metal frame under it too. DS9 thinks it is a perfect bed and has slept great.

Mousekeeping reassembles all the beds for you. BTW, mousekeeping is totally on the towel animals here. My DD was given a towel turtle as she walked down thw hall. We also got a giant Mickey head and a fish in the room.
My 9 yr old will go crazy about the towel animals; it was one of his most favorite part of carnival cruise. Thanks for posting about it.

We have our airfare taken care of now! Southwest, both nonstop with early arrival going and late leaving. Prices were good for our area, also. My ticker time doesn't seem so terribly far away anymore; before it was unbearably long! :hourglass Now I'm starting to realize :scratchin that it will come and go faster than I want.

Have designed t-shirts on an online create your own t-shirt site. Will pay for them next week. (One more thing to check off my list) :thumbsup2

Next week to order a limo for our trip to airport there and back. :cheer2:

Hi Everyone! I was just reading through some of this thread and thought I should say hi! We're staying at the AoA Nov1-9.Just booked out trip as a last minute thing last week (couldn't pass up the free dining pin) and I'm so excited. This will be our first time staying anywhere other than the Poly at DW.

A couple questions (I haven't made it all the way through the thread yet so I applogize if it's already been discussed) - can we walk to any parks from the AoA? And how long is the travel time (guesstimate) from the AoA to MK? My kids will be 4 & 2 so I'm just trying to plan accordingly since we're used to the monorail. Thanks!

Welcome! We'll be at AoA at the same time. We usually stay at Pop, so travel time should be the same. I'm not usre exactly, but the bus ride is about 10-15 minutes - not long at all. And no, you cannot walk to any of the parks. AoA and Pop are way down by Wide World of Sports, next to Caribbean Beach Resort.

Question about the Murphy bed... How far off the ground is it when opened. I cannot really tell by looking at the photos.

Yes! It is fried green tomato with pepperjack cheese and a veggie burger. I expected it to be a frozen veggie burger brand like morningstar but it was actually handmade with corn and other veggies. It was awesome!

Thanks!
I think I could try a fresh veggie burger with tomatoes - yum!

Just an FYI about the LM rooms and the concerns abotu the boys not liking it -- from what i have seen of the interior, it is more of a sunken ship/under the sea theme then a girly mermaid theme -- boys should love it just as much as girls.
I do not expect my 9 yr old son to be disappted with the room decoration and he'll only be there to sleep.

Hi All,
Checking in as we are 154 days out from our 7 night stay in a Cars Suite. My mom (who will be joining us) was here today and it was my first chance to show her some pics taken by guests (big thanks especially to memom). She is super excited as well... I made her watch Cars 1 & 2 so she can start familiarizing herself with the characters. I knew she needed it when she was reading a book to my daughter and pronounced "Mater" like "matter" lol.
Still hoping for some kind of discount -- still at rack rate right now but we are committed to staying at AoA regardless of discount. We are bargain shopping for our March trip.
Anyways hopefully when I come back, I can be of some help and share a trip report (it will be my first!)

glitzybabes, I want that AoA ticker! But everytime I go to MickeyPath, it isn't shown to pick! Jealous!! So, I tried to make my own, as close to LM AoA as I could, lol! :goodvibes
I had a ticker and then changed email addresses and my ticker disappeared. Now I can't remember how to add one. Where can I go to add a simple one? Isn't there a link on disboards? Thanks for your help.

I am very excited, I am taking my 4 year old daughter on her first DW trip in oct during MNSSHP, we are staying in the little mermaid section of AOA. very excited, been researching the hotel and things about the party, cant wait
