Hi. I'm just planning my trip. I usually stay at French Quarter ... and love it.
My daughter REALLY wants to try AoA... but we can probalby only afford Little mermaid suites.. What do you think? Are we going to like it? I'm worried the room will be too small (3 of us... my daugter is 9).

PS ... how do you add a ticker to your signature?
Thanks.

Honestly there isn't that much of a difference as far as footage. We do 4 of us in a value resot for almost 2 weeks. We do fine.

I absolutely can not wait until the 2013 package prices come out! We're planning on booking a Finding Nemo suite at AoA for myself, my husband, my two daughters and my mother. I am beside myself with excitement. I wish Little Mermaid had been used as a theme for the suites, but it isn't a huge deal. Nemo is great too!

We're going to be there Nov. 12-18. Staying at POR first for 3 nights Nov. 9-12 and then moving over to AoA. :) 3 adults and 2 kids will be great to have the extra space in the family suite. I've got Finding Nemo booked right now but have heard a rumour that it may become a preferred location due to it's location. If this happens we'll switch to a Lion King suite. Anyone else heard that rumour? :confused3

I'm dying for someone to go and bring us all back actual room/ground pictures. :goodvibes

If you booked it and the rate goes up with a category change, you won't experience the price hike.

I just got offered 60% off (a TA rate) an in thinking of taking a quick trip in September to check it out. Hmmmm. Decisions!

Good to know. Now though I'm looking at the map and thinking Lion King would be a better choice to be closer to the buses without going through the whole main building. :confused3

PLEASE let me know how the Lion King rooms are! That's where i would like to book September 2013..

Just booked a surprise trip for my husband and myself at the AOAR Lion King August 16-20, 2012. He has no idea that we are going. So excited!

Since I can't tell him I have to tell someone so why not the Disboards!!! :)

That is totally awesome!! I surprised my hubby once and he loved it.
SO jealous that you booked one of the Lion King suites! :goodvibes

I heard this too but we won't be effected if we've already booked. :thumbsup2

He really is going to freak. Already got it ok'd with his work and everything. It's now all up to me to not spill the beans!

You'll have to think of fun and exciting ways to surprise him with the trip news! We did a scavenger hunt for my hubby and the treasure at the end was a pirate's chest with "coins" that had vacation sayings on them.
And then he figured it out......
Since is was a Disney cruise, the coins said things like.... Cove Cafe, warm breezes, deck parties, flip flops, etc.
Have fun with however you surprise him! But don't let it slip!
I almost slipped just talking about luggage once! :rotfl2:

I'm anxious for pictures and upcoming trip reports, too! This not being able to book my flights (SW) and have concrete dates is killing me. :rolleyes2

I could never keep a WDW trip a secret from DH or DD's. I would burst at the seams, but how fun!

Just wanted to also say that I'm a strange one who actually likes a long walk from my room to the main building/buses, so I can have a peaceful solo walk in the AM to fetch coffee and hot cocoa to bring back to the room, just soaking in the sights and seeing everything/everyone wake up at the resort. It's one of my favorite parts of my days at WDW. The walk to the room after a long day at the parks is a totally different story though...:faint:

Just booked yesterday and I almost let it slip last night! This is going to be super hard for me. We both love Disney so much and always do the planning together.
