I just called and saved $100 on our reservation. I made my deposit on a mastercard but I didn't have to cancel and rebook. He applied the discount and said i would just have to pay with my Disney Visa upon arrival.

I was going to go ahead and purchase the Halloween party tickets but to have them shipped to me it was going to be $15.00 because they come Fedex. My only other option was will call. I have ordered this and Christmas party tickets in the past and have never paid that much for shipping.

Has anyone else tried to purchase tickets?

I just ordered MVMCP tickets last week, and they came (regular) in mail today- $5. Was not even able to pick up at Will Call, or once at WDW.

I just looked at the AoA offer for cardholders, but it isn't good for our dates (11/3-10), only through 9/27. Oh well, keep hoping for FD to roll out I suppose.....

Hi everybody! Back from my vacation this afternoon! Last night we went over to Pop Century to check out what we could see of AoA. First impression.. it is ENORMOUS. You can see a great deal of the bus stop/check in/ main building area through the trees as you drive to the entrance of Pop. It was all lit up Then we drove to the back of Pop and looked at it across the lake. Again, it appears to be so large! But I LOVE the decor. So bright and colourful. None of the buildings appeared too terribly far from the main check in area. The characters and drawings and larger than life icons give it a Disney feel that the other values don't even come close to IMO. I didn't get any pictures (sorry). But I am thrilled to be staying here and I think you all will be too. It really looks bright, cheery and shiny new!!

Pigletto! You just kinda gave the first 'official AoA preopening trip report', sort of... LOL That's great! Now you have me so much more excited. I'm glad that the buildings don't seem too far apart; an awful lot of people seem so overly worried about that. I think that it's going to be the most 'Disneyfied' resort of all of them.

Disney Visa just came out with a 15% cardholder discount for AoA so maybe the resort isn't filling up as much as they would like it to. Maybe discounts for the general public are coming too.

And maybe this will be followed by FD for the holidays? Although I'll be happy with a 15% room discount because right now we have only a 10% AAA discount, so thanks for the good news!

We are going to go to MVMCP this year for the first time, but I haven't gotten any tickets yet. I know when I went to the MNSSHP in 2010 and ordered my ticket online and had them mailed to my home, I was surprised at the mailing charge. I don't remember how much it was, but I know it was much more than I thought necessary for the little envelope I received.

the search function on this website is just awful. I putting "going to AoA" i the search and got nothing. I want to add myself to it too! We're going 6/19-6/25 in the Nemo suites! Somebody post the link please!!

Hooray, somebody is going early to the Nemo suites! I don't remember anyone else going to Nemo yet. I hope you have a wonderful time and share photos and a trip report with us. And, I agree with Cinderella73. I think we should put our trip reports on this thread so all of us can easily find them. It's really important since this is a new resort.

I just went directly to my Disney Visa account, and clicked on perks, and it opened up a new page with the offer. HTH

I am loving reading this post and seeing all the wonderful pics! My family of 6 is booked in a Nemo suite for 6/19-6/30. I cannot tell you how excited I am. The only thing that would make it better is a really good pin code or AP rate. Just had to share. Thanks for listening!

I just booked this resort this morning for a summer stay! I am very excited. I tried to get a Nemo Suite, but they only had Cars or a "non themed suite" available. What are the non themed suites? I chose Cars, because I didn't know what the non themed were (could there really be non themed rooms at this resort?). Thanks for any help!

I believe when it says "non themed" they just pick for you. i.e., you get either Cars, Nemo, or LK. All the suites have some sort of theme. At least that was what the CM I called to ask told me. Good luck!

I'm seriously debating staying in 2 LM rooms for our trip in December. DH won't care & the boys will get over it being a princess room, lol. It all depends on whether FD comes out & AoA is added like it was for the August-September FD.

My question, we've stayed at POR, several times, always stayed in building 38, which is in the back. Does anyone think the walk from the LM rooms to the food court &/or lobby will be any longer than the walk from the back of POR to the front?
