I'd be okay with no elevators except for when I first get there or am leaving because of my luggage. But that would be crazy if there weren't any.

Way back when I lived in FL the code was any public building more than three stories had to have at least one elevator in order to transport ambulance stretchers

does anyone know if the lm rooms will have connecting rooms? we are doing a one night stay in february and now looks like grandparents want to join us for the night!

I would like to see a map as well. It will prove interesting for me to carry the stroller and my DGD up a flight of stairs. hmm, I guess I best start lifting weights:)

AoA has (so I've been told) the biggest pool of any of the resorts. I think they were talking about the Finding Nemo pool. Have a great stay!!

My mom is insisting to go to Disney World in August and is inviting me and my boyfriend along. She chose the Art of Animation Resort, and I'm going along with it because I'm impressed by the suite designs. It's definitely not luxurious, but for what it is, it looks like a good value and also like a fun, colorful place to stay. A lot of the hotels have atrocious or decorations in the rooms, so this is very welcome for me. I may just be extra picky because of my art background, though. My mom is voting Lion King, which I'm cool with, but I would actually prefer Nemo because of the awesome color palette. So pretty! We're going for 5 nights in August. :)

We'll be so busy in the parks that we won't actually be eating much in our suite, even though my mom is diabetic and my boyfriend and I are both vegan. Regardless, it'll be nice just to have a kitchenette, if I have some leftovers or want to make breakfast.

does AOA has a map to your rooms!

This is the only map out right now that we can find. Is this what you mean??

I told my husband about the kitchenette today and he was really excited. Pretty much means we will be at AoA next year! :goodvibes

The last time I was on the DIS boards, they had only completed half of PopC, and I see that AofA is next to PopC. Did they ever finish the other half of PopC, or did they put AofA there instead?

You scared me!!!! :scared1: I thought you were going to say that there was a problem and LM was going to be delayed.....We're not going until Nov., but you never know. Also, we have an entire list/rollcall of members who are anticipating their trip to LM in Sept. Please :worship: Disney, let there be no delays. LOL

You are not kidding. We're going 10/1-10/5 and staying in a LM room. I will be sorely disappointed should I have to switch resorts because it's not finished. Not to mention, we have so far passed on up to 30% off of other resorts so we can stay at the new resort :).

AoA is where the 2nd half of POP was supposed to be. The Legendary Years of POP got scrapped. The Little Mermaid section of AoA is the POP buildings that were started, but never finished.

FYI, the LM rooms are not opening until late October. That is according to the oh so helpful CM I just spoke to on the phone. I hate it when I know more than the CM that I speak to does...........

The WDW website indicates that the LM rooms will be open for guests in September. September 15 to be exact. I wonder why these CMs are given so much conflicting info.

I am hoping that someone who stays first at AOA will take lots of pictures inside and out for us:) Especially the kitchenette area..maybe even a little info on the size of refrig, what type of filters the coffeepot will take and what they think of the inside hallways:) Plus, any other pics that they think will make us drool:)

Great pictures, thanks!!! I can't wait to check out AoA the first of June on our trip. :)

LOVE those pics! Are those slides coming out of little Crush? Is that the play area? I so can't wait to be there. I don't think I've ever seen anything so beautifully themed for kids. :)

:hippie:

I didn't even notice that the first time I looked at the pictures, but that is what it looks like! I didn't notice the fence at first either. It's really remarkable how well everything blends in. The Imaginears are really outdoing themselves with this!
