Is there a link to pics of the new resort? Or is it still just "concept" art?

I thought, or hoped, that it would be a good value for families - guess I'm wrong. I priced out a trip, and we cannot afford $300 per night! I'll stick with Bonnet Creek for $120 per night!

wow, $50 more a night than the AMSU suites (for peak season 2012)

My husband called because of the price difference they told him it is because the rooms are larger than the rooms at ASMU . They said they designed the rooms with a small hall way so they are truly suites . They also let us put in a room request for a courtyard room crossing our fingers and hopping for Pixie dust that we get our request. Good luck to everyone hope you can get a reservation .

Wow, the summer season of 2012 is $395 weekend per night and $345 weekday per night, if I am reading that correctly. I priced 7 days, 6 nights and my total for room was $2515. Maybe I'm being naive, but I was hoping to pay my entire trip for around that amount. If I want a good week at Disney, I may have to look another hotel/resort maybe in the DTD area or somewhere else.

I'm only seeing the family suites available for booking as well.....wonder if the single rooms will be more in line with the prices that we see at Values now?

Wow, I was so excited about this resort opening and seriously considering it for our next trip, but I don't know how they are advertising it as "value" when you can get a Cabin at FW for CHEAPER than one room.

Guess I'll keep looking for a more affordable option for my family.

Kinda bummed. I was really liking the whole idea of staying onsite. Oh well.

For those of you getting price quotes for the AOA resort......what dates are you putting in? I am trying to get a quote for the last week of May/first week of June and it says it's not available.

It is open to booking on June 1st of next year, but I haven't seen regular rooms open yet.

And guess what, Pop now has 3 catagories. Standard, preferred and preferred Pool view. I don't like that. It's 28 dollars more per night! And just plain preferred is 23 more per night too. What a hike!!!

The price of a suite tells me that The Little Mermaid section will be the busiest building. I'll probably continue staying at POP and off-site locations.

I am guessing theat they are opening the resort in sections and that will be the last section completed.

I just don't get where WDW higher ups think that a "hallway" is worth $50/night more.

This was my first thought! If I'm going to spend $300 per night, we'll get one room at the Contemporary - rather than a suite at AoA...

Or, we'll do the two much cheaper rooms at Pop.

exactly my thoughts as well. we simply cannot afford $300 (plus taxes) per night, even if they offer free dining with it.

How many people does the "suite" sleep, though? 6 like at ASMu?

For families with 6 or more people, I can understand how this would be more affordable than a deluxe.

Hopefully, they will go down in price, though... (oh, what am I saying... Disney only goes UP in price! )

In 2012 we will finally be a family of five per Disney, so I think we will either do two rooms at Pop or 1 room at POR. I agree with everyone else at $300 a night I am staying Deluxe. I even thought this about ASMu Family suites though too. They were kinda on the pricey side compared to two vaule rooms or 1 POR room. I was only interested in AOA for two standard rooms. I just can not believe that Disney made so little standard rooms there.

One other thing that erks me is the fact that two rooms can not be placed under the same reservation. Having two cards to pay for dining credits ect. sounds like a headache and hassel to me. Two different families or extend family, fine I get it. But for us this just doesn't make any sense.

Thats good to know. I have heard they make you have two different reservations for each room and only link the two. Hope we are able to do this as well. Hope you had fun. We are counting down the days...although it is the last week before the kids go back to school so that kinda stinks.

When we were there exactly a year ago - our dining credits were divided up. Not a huge hassle, but one I wouldn't mind missing on our next trip. That's why the suites at AOA appealed to me - otherwise, we really liked having two connected rooms at Pop.

Frankly, the four beds appeal to me more than the pull outs - and we still had two bathrooms and two TVs. The only advantage to the suite is the mini-fridge - and that's certainly not enough to account for the price difference...
