Disney's rooms are always themed very well yet understated. This is just too much in your face, shoving it down your throat that the room is themed after an animated movie.

I kind of like he in your face attitude of the room. But then I don't spend enough time in the room to matter as long as they are clean.

As a family of 5 WE LOVE THE FAMILY SUITES! there really isnt alot of options for larger families so this will be a great something "new" to add to the Disney magic of our trip....we really want to stay there but with our trip being planned for sept 13th 2012 (cruise from 9th - 13th) i really dont want to wait to the last min to book...and u know its gonna book up fast being new and all...i just really wish i knew when they were going to start taking reservations......also there is talk that the resort will open in phases, so i dont know how much i like the idea of stayin in a "half" finished resort

I love Disney resorts and want to eventually stay in them ALL! So I am very excited about the Art of Animation resort opening up next summer! If anyone hears when you can book the resort please POST! Thanks in advance!

AOA here we come! In fall 2012 I really can't wait! We LOVE Pop Century - but a family suite will be better for us than two rooms at Pop (just for ease of dining credits, etc.).

As a family of soon to be 5, I am excited to see more affordable suite options. I'm looking forward to seeing more picture updates and hear how other families' opinions of the suites. We plan on coming in 2013 so that gives me plenty of time to save and get booked in the next couple of years!

I did an online chat with a Disney castmember yesterday and asked when they expected to start booking stays at the new Art of Animation Resort. He said that they are usually given the go-ahead to book a new resort 6 months in advance of it opening. He said right now, all they have been told is that it is scheduled to open Summer, 2012. He said to continue watching the Disney World website.

I know this is pretty much what everybody already knew but thought I'd post it anyway.

We are planning on going to Disney next May or June. The kids get out of school on May 20 next year so we are planning on either leaving the day after the kids get out of school or waiting until June 10 which is my youngest son's birthday. Either way we want to stay at the AOA resort. Anyone have an idea when Disney will release rates for the AOA resort? Also, when Disney will start booking for the AOA resort?

Does anyone know if there will be a discount for the suite? I'm looking at my budget for our big trip in 2 years (yes I'm a planner!) and wondering if I'll be able to save on the suite or if there is a free dining plan offered, if that will save me in the long run.
