I wonder if the suites are larger than ASMu? Or are they just charging more for the theme? :confused3

The $50 more per night is just because of newness, location and theme. I am pretty sure they are the same size.

IF they offer free dining next year, I wonder if they will allow those booking suites to get the regular dining plan free instead of the quick service plan.

I wonder if the prices will go down a bit or will stay where it is at due to the newness, location and theme? My family will most likely stay 3 nights/4 days when we do visit again, so that will be more affordable for us especially during value season. Dh and I compromised on how many days/nights for future trips to Disney. However, dh really wants to stay at the Contemporary next visit due to how close it is to MK and we'll be doing a breakfast at Chef Mickey's. I was surprised that he is willing to pay rack rate too.:yay: But I am interested in seeing photos people take as they are able to stay here and may want to stay here in the future.

I won't be the first person staying from here, but I will be there that first week it is open. I will be happy to take pictures and upload them so they can be seen by all.

We stayed at ASMo in 2010 we did get free dining we wanted Ts not Qs . So we just paid a little more per person. That is what they did this year so it was not totally free dining I think we paid 5 a day per person .

bumping in case any one has more pics or information. It was way over on page 9:)

wow!! just priced out next year 10 night 4,100.00 just for the room!!:rotfl2:

we just stayed in a condo with 3bdrm and 3 full baths, full kitchen, screened in patio plus for 11 nights at 501.00

Ha! I'd love to know where you find a deal like that. After staying on-property, I'd like to stay, but at that price, I'd book in a heartbeat off-site.

Agreed.

I haven't found any for $500, but I've done 10 days in large condos (that are so much nicer than Disney) for less than $1000. And had washers, dryers, balconies/patios, etc.

Some folks want to stay in Disney hotels so badly that they're willing to pay a lot of extra dough to do it. It works out for them, it works out very well for Disney and it opens up rooms for those who want to pay less for better rooms. Really is win-win-win. :)

yeah, we just rented a 3 level townhouse -- 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, huge deck, living room, family room, huge kitchen, etc. etc. for $150/nt.................................... Ok, so it was in NH and not in WDW but still, lol....:lmao: it makes paying $350/nt. for a tiny suite hard to swallow.

We would like to stay at AoA too. But, this is IF they have the Little Mermaid section open when we visit (Nov 2012). Can't wait till then!

Yep. I'm pricing off-site for the first time and only at one specific resort because of the location (Wyndham Bonnet Creek). We could have a 2 bed, 2 bath condo in a resort with amenities just as good as any Disney deluxe for $100-120/night. I'm not making any decisions until Disney's fall discounts are released but wow does that look like a fabulous resort and unless the fall offer is free dining none of the Disney options can compete.

yeah ... we got 2BR at Sheraton Vistana Resort for $502/7 nights, 8 people a couple years ago. Sometimes they make it so hard to stay on site!

I booked Bonnet Creek with Ken Price for $120 a night for November. :thumbsup2

The only reason I cough up the cash for onsite resorts is for the dining plan. If I could get it staying off property, I would. But Disney's smart and knows how to get people!

Yep. That's what gets me, too. I love the prepaid, all inclusive aspect of it. Transportation, too. I love that if I wake up before everybody else and want to hit rope drop, I can hop on a bus and go. The rest of the family can join me when they are ready. Staying offiste with a rental car, that's really not an option. Disney has me hook, line, and sinker... for now.

Hello everyone..For those of you that don't know me My Name is Penni520
I was the one that started this thread. I am deeply sorry for not being here for you all but I have not had internet since December because I moved to Mississippi to be closer to my 2 daughters (20 & 22)
I have read each and everyone of you all's posting, picture's and updates and I am very proud of you all. Keep up the good work.
If you all have any questions please feel free to send me a private message or post here. I check every day.
Happy planning...I am to getting excited to stay in the Little Mermaid section since I sole travel. I will be going December of 2013 :-( why so long? because there is so much going on in my life that I just can't make a trip when it first opens.

Another good point. Renting a car is another extra expense. If you don't rent a car, you have to pay for a shuttle back and forth to the airport. Plus, most offsite places have scheduled transportation. That just doesn't work for me! I'm a TA and use these points to convince people to stay onsite!
