Sorry that was a major typo....$2 to dry! I'll go fix that.

I assume that is an exaggeration?:) why do you think that is? Has anyone ever complained? Maybe they just need to clean the exhaust tube? What would you say on average is the number of cycles it takes to dry clothes? I was going to be doing laundry for our upcoming trip for the first time in order to save money on baggage fees and bring one less suitcase. Hmmmmm....

Just came back from 12 days at Pop... We came out and asked the bus driver if Pop was sharing buses with AoA and he no that Disney just bought 60 new buses and AOA will have their own busses...
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I never do laundry at Disney but have when we have gone on down to the beach. I just assumed it's because of the high humidity level in FL.

The cycle is shorter than my at home dryer. I usually only dry one cycle myself and hang to finish drying in the room...but things dry much slower there with the humidity too.
I found it be true with Residence Inn and on the ship too. The cycles are just too short. We did use 2 cycles on the ship and 2 at Residence Inn. Actually it might've been 3 there.

LOL! I never even noticed I wrote that. But yeah, if you are washing jeans and want them dry...it just might take $20!

I thought you were being funny, too, since I have heard the horror stories on getting clothes to dry. I got a chuckle out of it anyway, mistake or not. :)

I've never washed in all the times we've been, but I'm sort of thinking of doing that this time, since I'll be there for two weeks. I can pack a week's worth of clothes, wash, and wear again rather than stuff the suitcases full to the brim with a two weeks' supply of clothes.

:lmao: That is funny, Jen! I really was hoping that Disney wouldn't do that; what a racket that would be. Could you imagine a resort that would do that? You put your $2 into the washer and get all of your clothing washed, and then find out that the dryers are $20. You'd really be stuck if was your day to go home and you had a big pile of wet clothing. :confused3 I've never used their laundry either, but I think if I went for two weeks I would do what MeMom is suggesting about packing for 1 week, washing and then wearing the clothing again. That's a good idea.

That would be horrid! :rotfl:

All this talk of laundry got me thinking - is there a laundry service available either through WDW or by a local business that does pick-up and return? I might consider paying $20 give or take, to have it done for me...

For everyone who will be checking into AoA this week - have fun and post pics and experiences for those of us who have to wait....and wait....and wait to experience the resort. Thanks!

:)
