Ooh! excited to find this thread - I just booked 3 nights at the new animation resort for December. It will be our first Disney trip!

is there any place to hang up things here? Like to the right of left of the bathroom vanity or is it just chest drawers?

So I am just new to forums and such and I was wondering if there was an easy way to post pictures on here. If there is please let me know and I will post pictures once we get down there on Saturday evening.

I just booked our Disney vaca at the new Art of Animation -- got a Finding Nemo Family Suite. SO excited. With an 8 yr old and a 1 year old, we take up a lot of space so this is perfect for us!!!

You will have to upload your pictures to PhotoBucket or some other online sharing site first. Then you click on the image link that matches the one used here and just paste that into your post. The image link will look something like this

OMG, I'm just so happy and excited for everyone who's going for the Grand Opening or going this weekend. It's finally here! :yay: :dance3: Please, all have a wonderful, magical and safe trip and we will be watching for anything you have to share with us!!!! :woohoo:

I just got off the phone with the best castmember! I didn't think I could get anymore excited for our upcoming stay at AoA! The castmember said that she got a chance to stay in a Finding Nemo suite last week she loved the room. She said her 30 year old daughter slept on the pull out sofa bed and it was similiar to a memory foam mattress. I asked her about the table bed and she said the mattress was thick and very nice. I feel much better knowing that my mom and mother in law will have comfortable sleeping arrangements.

I don't want to wish the summer away but I am really looking forward to September!

I'm glad to hear that! Even though my kids will be the ones sleeping on those, I still want them to be comfortable. We'll be there for 9 nights and I want rested kids!

If you go to this page and scroll about halfway down you'll see a picture of the cabinet beside the tv. It has a space to hang things and a drawer at the bottom. I recall seeing one in the bedrooms at well, but I can't find the picture for that one...

It also looks as though you might be able to store your empty suitcases on that unit.. or maybe between the bed and the wall in the bedroom.
As you can see, I've already thought this all out because clutter drives me nuts on vacation:rotfl:

We are soooo excited, we booked a little mermaid room for 11/23-12/1. i can't wait, i hope they have their christmas tree up by then.

I am almost certain that most of the decorations start going up in November so I think they will!
I have always always wanted to go on a trip at that time to see all the decorations.
The only time we can get off really is the Christmas break though and I refuse to go during that madness. Maybe in 2014:)

i hope so. we've been all times during the year and we were asked to be private tour guides for a family of 29 the week after christmas last year!!!!! me, dh, and dd kept laughing at all the people cause it was crazy!!! you know it's busy when the peoplemover had a long wait!! we didn't mind it cause we were getting paid for it and we started early which meant 29 people meeting @ 6:15am for a 7:am ropedrop!!!! hey, we can do anything now that we accomplished that week with that many people.

My husband and I are staying off property for a short trip next week- 15th wedding anniversary (marriott hotel was gifted by the in-laws), but we are planning a surprise trip for our girls, 6 and 8 for October and booked 2 Little Mermaid rooms so my parents can go with us. I am excited to go next week and check out as much of the resort as I can and take pictures, and do some planning for October. We are going to head over to the Downtown and stock up on surprises and fun disney things put in the room for when we bring the girls. Grandma and pop pop can stall the girls in the gift shop or pool area while my husband and I put out all the presents, complete with a letter from Ariel welcoming them to her hotel! I can't wait to go... both times!

I also just booked AoA, and the cast member had just stayed there. She was literally gushing about how awesome it was. She said the table bed was more comfortable than the pullouts in other hotels, and that they have all sorts of things in the kitchenettes, and the bathrooms were awesome. I am so excited! Now I'm just question my choice of Finding Nemo over Lion King...

HI,
I am excited about this resort, However I have some questions for those of you that have either stayed here or the other family suites. There will be 4 adults of us traveling to Disney and although I thinks kids are okay I do have issues with them not be well behaving having serious meltdowns or running up and down the hallaways without parental control ( i dont mean to be offensive, its just a personal opinion. I would rather be able to have fun with the kids and give the back to their parents after I get them on a sugar high LOL) Well the family suite and this resort be over run with small children due to the themeing. Thanks for your help , and once again I dont mean to be offensive regarding children.

I would say that yes, there is a very high probability that the AoA will be swarming with children. Will the parents be well-behaved and properly supervise/discipline their children? Some will, some won't. I would say if you are looking for a place for four adults to have a lot of peace and quiet, you might want to pick a different resort.
