Thank you! I was also factoring in the upgrade to the savannah view but you are right it is a lot!

There are a bunch of places around the resort to sit and watch the animals inside and out. and I must tell you that we have stayed CL and loved it but it was years ago before a lot of the new changes. You and your family are really the only ones who can make that decision, you know better than us what y'all would enjoy.

I understand that there's a soft goods refurbishment upcoming for DVC units in both Jambo and Kidani. Has anyone heard any rumblings of a potential change in the studio occupancy to 5 (a pull-down murphy bed similar to the studios at other DVC resorts)? FWIW, I haven't heard anything about this even being a possibility, but am really just hoping Disney will follow the trend that's been happening with other resort refurbishments.

Hi guys! Just wanted to post to say we checked in today. We have a deluxe studio standard view. We got 5372. We have the people pen directly below us and the barn straight back. It's obviaously the cheap view, but we have seen sool many animals. There have been zebra all day, we've seen wart hogs in the next fence over. Lots of horned cows (not sure what those are) and a group of giraffes! We're so happy!

Cows with big horns? Ankole cattle. Can't remember how to spell it.

Is the Kidani pool within easy walking distance from Jambo, or would we need to take the bus? If the bus is necessary, is there a changing are so that we wouldn't be on the bus in wet bathing suits? Thanks!!

It's a very easy walk. 10 mins or so. There is also a continuous shuttle separate from the buses. Yes, there are nice restrooms and changing areas. Enjoy!

Yes. I believe so. I think it's a van. I've never used it but I've seen it.

Here a AKL now. Just arrive today. Had lunch at Mara and swam in the pool for awhile. I am sitting on the balcony of our pool view room and they just closed the pool for unscheduled maintenance. There were ducks in there so maybe they left a present? lol looking forward to Boma dinner tonight!

I am so excited I had to come share! We just got our dvc rental confirmed.. we will be at AKV next May! Hubby and I have been to wdw together at least 10 times, and this trip we will be bringing our then 2.5 year old to WDW for the first time
