Congratulations to your daughter! My daughter-in-law and her sister are both FSU grads and loved their time there!

Yes, all CL rooms (non-DVC) have Arusha views and will be very close to the lobby! 4th floor -- Normally, in the first pod on Kudu Trail, although we have also been in the 2nd pod - first or second room. Once, we were on Zebra Trail (first pod off the lobby), but we leave it up to chance! You can call the AKL IPO and let them know what your wishes are for room location and let them handle inputting that information into the system! We've never had a CL room we didn't love!

On the mug thread, someone said the pool bar would hand over your beverage in a plastic cup that you can pour in, for sanitary reasons was the speculation.

Correct me, someone, if this is wrong.

Hello! I have a standard view room booked for end of July. We have stayed at AKL two times and we really enjoy it! We added on 3 nights at AKL for rest and relaxation before we move to the Contemporary and start our "real" Disney vacation, so we will be in the resort enjoying the pools and animals! There are unfortunately no club rooms available under the room discounts for our 3 night time frame, but there is a club room available under the discount for the second two nights. The cost difference is $418 and we have to switch hotel rooms. Opinions on whether it is worth it??

for me the answer would be no, cereal and pastries for breakfast and a couple of drinks in the evening for two evenings, is not worth $418
But you know it is totally up to you, and what you are willing to do.

I agree with this - $418 for 2 nights? No! You could do the Wanyama Safari for that amount and have an awesome evening, complete with a meal and wine at Jiko!

How long is the walk from the furthest room to the lobby at AKL Jambo House??

We were gonna stay at POR and prep ourself for the 0.3 miles from the the corner of POR to the lobby. Would the walk at AKL be as far as that??

Can anyone tell me what is the most budget friendly room type we can get for a family of 5? We want Savannah view and club level.
Do we need to get two standard rooms or a 1 bedroom? Just trying to see what will be the cheapest for us. This is the first time my youngest will be out of pack and play stage, and we need a room that fits 5.

This is accurate.....But I believe it's a paper cup..Thats the only difference.

Hi guys! Just wanted to post to say we checked in today. We have a deluxe studio standard view. We got 5372. We have the people pen directly below us and the barn straight back. It's obviaously the cheap view, but we have seen sool many animals. There have been zebra all day, we've seen wart hogs in the next fence over. Lots of horned cows (not sure what those are) and a group of giraffes! We're so happy!

Thank you! I was also factoring in the upgrade to the savannah view but you are right it is a lot!
