I am thinking about getting a message and dropping my four year old granddaughter off for a couple of hours at the daycare.

My 2 nieces, 5 and 6, are still talking about their night at Simba's Clubhouse. I honestly think it was the highlight of their 7 night trip last month.

My kids haven't stayed at that one but mine LOVE the kids clubs. They are 5 and beg me to go there! I'm guessing that one is great too! Trying it out in October... Yeah!

Wow seems like a long time to wait for a bus going to AK....Over a 1/2 hr. not counting the time the last bus left the bus stop either... Kind of odd.

Once on the bus & a timing it, it's roughly:

MK 18-20 mins tops
Epcot- 10-12mins
HS- 8mins
AK- 5 mins

These are estimates, but the ride feels faster.

How about buses to Typhoon Lagoon and Downtown Disney? Do we share buses with any other resorts?

Here now and it is so nice that in the morning the busses are separate for Kidani and Jambo House. When we were here in the fall, they were still running them together. It's nice that they are not full when they arrive at Jambo.

It's time for us to make room requests through online check-in. We have booked a savannah view room. We were thinking lower level for a closer view, but our question is about Kudu Trail View. What exactly is this and what makes it better or worse?

We've stayed on the kudu trail twice. 4thfloor the first and 5th the second. Both were great for viewing animals (giraffe, zebra primarily) I've read that 3 and 4 floor are best for unobstructed views. It can be a very long walk though so take that into consideration. We didn't mind.

Here at AKL now. Just got out of the pool. It rained for quite awhile this morning while we were at DHS. The weather has been strange this trip to say the least. It has not been hot and really humid like it usually is when we come around this time. We got out of the pool because we were chilly. I have seen people walking around in light jackets and pants. I have NEVER seen that and I always come in late July, early August. Going down later to hang out at Victoria Falls Lounge for some adult beverages. This resort has spoiled us . I think we may stay deluxe from now on.

Wow! We will be there in 5 days. I just assumed it would be so hot that pants or jackets would be totally unnecessary. I will have at least 1 pair of jeans and a hoodie since that's what I will be wearing on the plane. Should I bring more?

Need AKL expert opinions, please. We are arriving for our first AKV Jambo House stay on September 26th (savanna view studio villa). I just did online check-in and requested an Arusha Savanna view room near the lobby. It didn't give me an option for Zebra Trail or Kudu Trail. I'd prefer Zebra Trail, so I figured "near the lobby" was my best option?? Any opinions?

....no, but that bus ride is a notoriously long one...from ANY of the resorts.
