This may be such a basic question but I have heard the buses take awhile. Since we are driving should we just plan to drive to the parks or us there any other creative ways to get around?

The problem isn't the amount of time you spend on the bus. The problem is that the buses stop at Kidani Village before Jambo House. If you are staying at Jambo House, all of the seats may be full when the bus pulls up.

Will doing online check in lessen my chances of getting a possible upgrade from pool view to savanna view. I see they are given frequently and was hoping to ask at the desk at check in. On the online check in process is there options to request certain views, trails, bed configurations or proximity to lobby if available? Also should I send in my request the old fashioned fax way, call, or all of the above?

Whether you do online check in or not has zero affect on getting your requests or getting an upgrade.

Could you add us as well for Dec 2015 (Dec 10 - 12). This is our first time at a Deluxe. We've stayed at AoA (Lion King Suite), POR Royal Room and CSR over the past 2 years. We've rented 2 nights at 2 bedroom standard view villa at Jambo House just before our 7 night DCL cruise. This will be our 4th DCL cruise and 2nd time on the Fantasy (our favorite ship).

Have never stayed at AKL before, it's always been a dream for me, and we decided to just ignore the fact that this is more than we ever pay for a room on vacation and do it!

I am hoping for some pixie dust and an upgrade to Savannah view, but even if we don't get that lucky, I don't care, I'm going to Disneyworld for a week!

63 days away from checking into my first stay at AKL and my first Club Level stay ever at WDW! I am very excited.... We have both the Wanyama Safari and the Night Vision Safari booked! The Wanyama Safari includes dinner at Jiko's, we also have reservations at Boma's and Sanaa during our stay.

Just curious of a few things...

1. Does anyone have tips on getting a good view (with CL I am guaranteed "Views of Arusha Savanna")?
2. Hidden Treasures at this resort, things that are awesome that might not be widely advertised?
3. Any last minute tips?

PS: Does anyone think bringing binoculars is a good idea?
