Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES Resort

I can't wait to stay in the All-Star Movies! Or ASMO it will be awesome place for my birthday next year!

We are thinking of staying here next April. We stayed in the LoveBug section many years ago (prekids ) and I did like it.

But my question is for all of you who stayed there in April with the cheerleaders. I heard some bad reviews on AllEars that they completely took over and I am leery about staying at a value. But I know my kids will love all the characters.

Did any one have any problems that week?

Don't know about cheerleaders...but we stayed in April 2yrs ago during grad nites. On Thursday afternoon the pool was FULL of teens! Playing w/ BIG balls, jumping and being pushed in fully clothed. The life guards finally lefts their posts and shut off the Mickey fountain since they couldn't contain them.

Families surrendered the pool to these teens. It was that way on Friday and Sat too. Then Sunday (we always come back for a midday break) the life guards were back and families were swimming. Far fewer teens. I will say we had NO problem w/ noise around our room, or anywhere around the resort. Even the foodcourt wasn't bad....just the pool! We enjoy ASMo and are returning this Oct...but I will NEVER go there when grad nites are happening!!

Has anyone decorated the windows/door of the ASMo b4 in this thread? I'm curious if its hard or not.

So, we requested the Toy Story section since its the kids fav movie. Is it really as awesome in person as it looks on the computer??

Thanks for the info. I think the grad nights will be there too for that week in April,2010 I just worry about the pool being overrun, but we will just have to wait and see. Maybe DW will come out with the 4/3 deal again

OK- we stayed there this April during the Cheerleader/dance things. And, I will NEVER stay at a value during this time again!!!
Yes, the teen girls AND Boys overtook the pool, the bus system, the resort grounds, the food court........... There were a few that were polite, but for the most part, they were rude, loud, selfish and obnoxious!

They cut in front of me & my family in the food line twice.

One particular bus trip, there were 2 girls sitting across from each other, taking up two seat each, and they flatly refused to move over and share when there were several people, balancing babies & strollers that were standing. Another time we were already standing, and they wouldn't give up a seat for an elderly woman, she ended up getting off the bus because she said she couldn't stand any longer. The cheerleader said her mouth hurt cause she was getting a wisdom tooth!

The pool was just as bad. DS9 got out because he was scared that all the teens were acting so rough, he though he would get drowned. Then this group of 5 girls came to the kiddie pool and sat in the sprinklers to tan. When asked to move for the little ones, they said they would only be there for a bit because they had another competition that evening. The parents were as bad, they took all the chairs from the kiddie pool area and layed by the big pool, drinking alcohol, and using very loud, adult language.

At night, they were outside our room practicing their cheers until 11 pm. We called the front desk and the noise stopped right away.

It sounds like I am very negative right now, and I don't mean to be. We had a wonderful vacation adn we absolutely loved AS Movies. However, the 3 days that the cheerleaders took over were miserable at the resort. And yes, I am sure they were the cheerleaders/dancers because they all wear big bows in their hair all day, even at the pool!!!

I would avoid them at all costs.

It's most likely that same at all the resprts including Pop, where you JUST stayed....and haven't answered any of us who asked you how it was.

Thanks Tinkermom for the reply. That was what I was afraid of. The next April vacation will be a week later for RI which looks like it would coinside with grad night and the cheerleaders

We have stayed in the Toy Story section twice and our kids love it! The statues are awesome! We always decorate our window! I have some great pictures, but we still use dial-up, so it takes forever to upload. I'm hoping we are switching to a wi-fi card in the next few weeks. If we do I will try to post some pictures for you!

I love All-Star Movies is my favorite hotel. Because our family didn't stay in this hotel before! and I need to see the review of the All-Star Movies resort. before to make a decision to stay in this hotel.
