Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES Resort

I know i saw this here but I can't seem to find it now, are the pools heated? also has any one stayed that ducks part recently I was thinking of seeing if we can stay there it has the one pool right there and the Laundry and the music resort seems pretty close too. thanks for any input.

We stayed in Mighty Ducks last month and the location was great :thumbsup2 We really enjoyed having the smaller pool right there. We did use the Music bus stops pretty regularly... was nice when leaving a park, if there were separate buses, we could choose whichever line was shorter (always Music, lol).

The laundry was very close. This is a pic as we were walking out of our building (#3) toward the pool - the laundry is in the green & yellow building on the right.

Also we noticed that the earlier in the day we swam, the cooler the pool was. In the evenings it was almost too warm! I guess from the sun beating on it all day. We didn't have any overcast/cloudy days so I don't know how much that had to do with it. We went at midday a few times and it was refreshing!! Nothing you don't get used to in a minute - and it felt sooo good after sweating all day. We went in the pool every day...

Here's the main pool

I'm not sure how late the gift shop is open, but you can purchase one there. Another option is that if you are flying into MCO, I'm sure you can purchase one at the Disney store at the airport.

Oh awesome will I be bale to get to that store when we arrive?Do we go past it,sorry have never been to this airport.

Almost anywhere around Disney you can purchase these there is a shop right on Main Street as your headed to the Crystal palace right as you enter the park on your left the emporium and yes you can also purchase one in MCO at The Disney Store there! They are the same price there and in Disney! They also request you purchase an oversized pen for it as it is easier for characters like Mickey and Minnie to hold and sign! But thats up to you they are like $2.50-$3.00 for the pens the autograph book were somewhere around $6.50 I believe! Hope this Helps I think the gift shops close before Midnight maybe 10ish.

Yes! MCO is a very LARGE airport with lots of stores!(You get on a shuttle just to get to the other side of the airport where you re luggage and or magical express is!) Just read the signs around you will find your way easily if not stop and ask and someone can show you! But there are plenty of signs it makes it easier to navigate!

Thankyou so much for all your help,I am so nervous and excited which is crazy since I have travelled to the other side of the world with our son who was 10 months at that time. This trip seems like so much more planning and trying to get things right!lol

I purchased Disney Autograph Books several years ago on EBAY for a great price!:thumbsup2 Since you have plenty of time I would check there or google "Disney Autograph Books" and see what you come up with. I would much rather have a book in advance. Hope this helps!:cool1:

Thankyou once again,I looked on Ebay but I am now trying to decide what kind is best the ones for photos and autographs,I guess buying it at the All Star Movies is off my list. Was also thinking about ordering a basket or two and having those with the books in?Any idea how delivery works for the baskets there?

I love the idea of an autograph book with a place to put the matching picture! Our books form years ago, when my kids were little enough to do this, are fun to remember, but just the "autographs" are sort of ho-hum to look at after the fact--it's the accomplishment of "getting" thme that's fun, and having the pictures right there sounds like a fabulous idea to this old Mom!

Thanks for that opinion,I love scrapbooking so hopefully using this board I can come up with something.

My daughter has RAD and has a feeding tube, I requested a fridge and asked what medical documentation they needed and the CM said none.

We had booked AsMu this time, my parents stayed there last year and the rooms where totally remodeled and looked great. But my preschooler princess became upset with me when I was showing her the photos of AsMu, she demanded to know where Pongo and Perdita where! :lmao: So I switched to a preferred at AsMo. I am not a picky person and I am not expecting Taj Mahal, but I am a little concerned with cleanliness and quiet at night.

She is only little once, we will make it work.:goodvibes

That is my feeling too.Our 4 yr old so wanted to stay there, but I am worried about the noise and how clean it is going to be.I guess it will be as good as you make it.

It was perfectly clean when we were there last year and we only had noise issues the second night with our neighbor's 3 & 4 year old kids screaming at the top of their lungs at freaking MIDNIGHT!!!! That was our one and only issue. Other than the turbo toilets :rotfl2:

I booked a one night stay for myself & 2 ds's in August before we head over to POR. We will land at the airport at 9:15pm. Can anyone confirm how late the food court serves hot food? I know we will all be hungry by the time we get to the resort. Thank you!

I think it's 11:00pm but it could be midnight. Anyone know for sure?
