Disney's Aladdin

I saw the show last Friday(how i wish i was still their) and the Aladdin show was playing 3 times that Friday.
The show i thought was excellant!!!! Better than other disney shows i have seen at wdw. It was 40 minutes in lenght but kept your attention thru-out the show with all the performers doing a great job. I was surprised though that we went to the last show 615pm so as to be done and get in line for the parade and the show was only a little over 1/2 full, i thought being so new it would have been totally full, we ran from Soarin over CA after our fastpass and was worried if we would make it. we got their about 25 minutes early a few people were in line and they didnt start the seating till 15 minutee before the show. I would call it a must see for fans of disney's musicals!!

I thought it was one of the best Disney has put on. It is longer than the other shows they have done and it sort of felt like it in a couple spots but in general it was pretty spectacular. Particularly for those of us who have not seem large stage productions or musicals. It has some impressive effects though not all of them worked. Hopefully they will work the bugs out. The actors were very good and the audience seem to like it alot.

*sniff sniff* we tried to see it. The cancelled it for 2 days(at least all the performances we tried to see) because of technical difficulties. I am guessing ALaddin was sick???? Anyway, I was really sad we never got to see it.

I cant wait to see this. Sounds like you had a good show. I hope its playing when we go in a couple of days

I saw half of it. After the "Whole New World" number with a cool magic carpet ride, an announcement came over the loud speaker saying the show was cancelled due to technical difficulties. I tried to see it the next day but the show was down again so I gave up.

If it is ever debugged, the best view is in the mezzanine.

We saw this show on 12/13 and felt it was definately worth it. No technical difficulty during the show. The performers were great and very professional. We did hear from a cast member that they had cancelled all shows on 12/13 due to problems. The same cast member also talked some guests out of line, because she said it was not up to par to a broadway musical and she had seen better productions. Too bad, because this guest missed a good show.

I felt it was one of the best productions I had seen at DLR. Husband felt it was just as good as Festival of Fools at DL. Lets hope they continue to add new productions through the years.

The show is great. I saw it three times (twice on 12/14 and once on 12/15). The cast on the 15th wasn't as good as the cast on the 14th. It was down on the 16th since they are working on the show. What I hear is that they will be shortening it from 40 minutes to 30 minutes. It was going to resume on December 21. Wonder what changes they will make for those shows. Won't be able to see it until April and am sure that it will be improved by then.

hi all,

i took my 2 1/2 year old to see aladin the second week in december. she enjoyed it, but started getting antsy towards the end. so, if they are thinking about shortening it, it might be a good idea. other than that, i enjoyed it as well. they took a couple of the ideas from the lion king production, but they are great effects! the only down side for me was that the volume level was too LOUD!!! hurt my ears...

I thought the length was fine and had no problem at all with the sound!!! IMHO a broadway show shouldnt be made to satisfy a 2 1/2 yr old which isnt going to the core audeince of the show or the people who make up the majority of people who attend the park.
Just like some cant sit thru a long broadway show some may be able to sit thru this show and if they cant do so their is always Bugs land for them. They shoildnt dumb down the experience because a small segment of the audience has trouble's with the show's length etc.

well, i am sorry you took offence to my opinion! it seemed to me that i was honest, and there were a LOT of small children in the theatre. by the way...i said that I LIKED IT! just cause i didn't gush about it doesn't mean that i didn't! why so sensitive?

Cindy- I took no offense at your opinion/thoughts on the show at all!!! And im glad you gave your heartfelt thoughts on the show, i was just expressing my own views on the show!! People can read all the view points and decide what is best for them and their family!!
Sensitive no, but always have a opinion!!!!(if wanted or not lol)

Cindy- I hope i didnt coma across too strongly for you. And also have a great day!!!
