From the posts I'm reading my DSs will love DQ but my 5yo DD will probably last less than an hour. I'm traveling alone with them. Both boys are responsible, have cell phones and will stay together. We have split off before in the main parks to do different rides and then meet up without a problem. The Disney site states that 9 and under need to be with a 16 year old. I would appreciate any experience anyone has with giving kids some independence at DQ. Thanks!

It's next to impossible to hear a cellphone ring at Disney Quest. Do you have another adult who could stay with the boys?

Also, do you really want to spend the cash for you and the daughter for just an hour? It's pretty expensive for just an hour unless you have a PAP or plan to use one of your water parks and more credits.

Is this part of your package you are buying or are you paying to get in?

My 5 year old goes in with us (a boy though) and likes it.

If it is part of your pass you could treat her to a dessert and hot chocolate on the top floor.

I'm the only adult so my kids are fairly used to being more independent than average. This is a non-park trip to use up water park & more tickets that we haven't used in the past. I figured DQ would do most of a day when we weren't at the hotel pool.

I had thought of the lack of phone hearing and figured I would make sure they were in front pockets and on vibrate. And also have the boys calling out to me on a schedule. How far away is DQ in walking and/or bus time from the lego store and other shops?

Other option is to get a sitter for DD5 and she can stay at the pool so I can be with the boys. (which would probably cost almost the same amount as I would be saving on her ticket when I buy it for her when she is older). Best option?

Disney Quest is in the furthest end of the West Side. The Lego store and the World of Disney are in the Marketplace. Pleasure Island is between the West Side and the Marketplace.
