I am soo excited to finally start my pre-trip report. I don't even know were to begin- but I think the best way is to start is with some background about me disney and then explain what has led up to want a disney honeymoon! :lovestruc

First I will introduce myself and my soulmate.

::MinnieMo ME: (Jen) Most people use their disboard name but my name consist of mine and my fiances so it doesn't really work. ;) I am a huge disney fan. I never actually stop researching about disney- even if I don't have a trip planned. I love all disney movies, even the old ones. One of my all time favorites is Mary Poppins. I love music- which makes me love musicals. My all time favorite movie/musical if Moulin Rouge. I'm currently a college student. I'm going for secondary education in Communications and my minor is English. I am also a coach for competitive cheerleading for a high near my college. I love cheerleading and I love coaching- I get such a rewarding feeling from it. That is part of reason why I chose to become a teacher.. well I always wanted to but then I let the whole "money" aspect boggle my mind and instead of listening to my heart I listened to my mind, that was until I woke up.. and now I'm happy.. if only I would of woke up 2 years earlier.. ;)

::MickeyMo DF: aka Soulmate or Sunny or Austy (as in my disboard name). I'm a fool for nicknames.. I love them.. its not like I plan it out.. hmm what can I name you- they just come to me and they stick. All of my friends have nicknames.. Anywho DF I met him a week before I graduated high school which was 5 1/2 years ago. You know the saying "Opposites Attract"? Well that was us.. I was a "good girl" so to speak and he was a "bad boy". I just graduated high school and he just dropped out. He was a huge partier-(drinker) and I was a "goofy without drinking" kind of girl. I was a cheerleader, he hated cheerleaders. I came from a good structured family, he did not. I could go on.. So why did we end up here? I'll try to make it a short version answer- What first caught me was his humor- he was so funny. I wasn't looking for a boyfriend (I usually was when I met a boy), I didn't have a lot of boyfriends throughout time nor did I "get around" hehe but I was always searching for Mr. Right.. Anyways, My friends and his all started hanging out all the time- he was funny- I flirted with him.. it was fun-nothing more, nothing less. Then one day when his friend called he said "Austin likes you more than a friend" and for the first time, instead of jumping into it- I had to think "Do I like him like that?" I didn't really know the answer. I love his humor and he was pretty cute. So as time went by, we started hanging out alone- without friends.. simple stuff. That is when I seen the true him.. I began to see him and I began to love him almost from the first time I houng out with him alone. You might be thinking "What made me give him a chance because we were soo different?" I can't say it wasn't in the back of my head- I came from a class A nice school. I knew a loser when I seen one. But I guess all I can say is he wasn't a loser at all. "I could see the person no one else seen". Then as time went by we became closer, he met my family- they loved him. He got along great with my brother- they have the same personality. I met his.. and I learned were he came from and why he had so many problems. He didn't have the structure I had, he didn't have the support, he moved around a lot, and he ended up with partying type friends.

Who'd of thought that as time went by I would love him more then I did the day before- when the day before, I loved more than the world.

So move now to 5 1/2 years later-

We are engaged. ::MickeyMo We are getting married June 7th, 2008. Our disneymoon is June 9th-16th at Pop Century. :tinker: He may have been a "not so good choice" then but I seen him, and who he could be.. he is "the best choice" now. In all the sacrifices I have ever made- giving him a chance, believing in him, and handing him my heart was the best thing I could have ever done for myself and for him. I truly believe we were suppose to meet. I believe god sent him to me, and me to him. He was sent to me because of all the prayers I made about meeting the special person who loved me for me. I prayed every night for the same thing. I needed some to love me, take care of me, my soulmate. He needed someone to love him, believe in him, and support him. If you knew him now you would think he was a completely different person. He has matured so much. He is goal oriented. He is so happy with life. Of course he was young and when your young you can be stupid- but who he is now is the most amazing person ever. He is still the funniest person I know. He always says "I know you love you because you laugh at everything I say even if noone else does, and its not a pity laugh". Anyways, He got his GED, he went to college, he is still at college and working at shop near us. I say he is my soulmate because not only is he my lover but my best friend. I can even take him shopping and have him help me pick stuff out.. hehe I can tell him anything, talking to him about anything and him the same. We have a great relationship. We work great together in the "home" dept and some of you might think this is cute while others sickning- but if I go away for a night- we miss eachother. I will finish by saying that I believe that not everyone gets to meet their soulmate in life- and I have truly found mine and I thank god everyday for him.

Now DISNEY background- The first time I went was in 4th grade. It was 1991 . I went with my parents. We stayed in Florida for 2 weeks but we only went to the Magic Kingdom. We went 2 days in a row because we recieved a free pass the first day we went. We also visited Universal Studios. We didn't stay onsite or in a hotel at all- we stayed with my grandma 1 week and my dads friend another. We spent much time at the ocean. Ever since we went there I always wanted to go back. Although I didn't get to go with my family again. About 2 years after DF and I were together we planned to go there and stay in the resort. I had NO idea what was in store for me. So I bought a few books, and did some research online and back then I thought I knew a lot.. pffff! Yeah right! I know a million times more now. We we both got long summer jobs to save up to go. Then I found out I was accepted to a University which was 45 minutes away from my hometown. He decided we would move down instead of commute. So instead of using all the money on a trip-we used it to move and buy stuff for our very first place.

Then finally like 1 1/2 years later in December 2005- DF surprised me for christmas with a trip to Disney World for 5 days at the All Star Movies resort. Ever since we started planning for the first one- I never stopped and so he pretty much knew everything he needed to know to book it. He went online- actually booked through expedia- this was before disney had the longer you stay the less you pay thing- and the package included parkhopper and water park- so we got the same ticket through disney and we did through expedia. I was shocked because how in the heck did he save and pay for it without me knowing- because we are on a budget- but he informed me that he got a refund check from school-and use it for that.. I would of been mad- but I was too freakin excited to care! Our first trip together (his first trip- and my second technically) was Tues. Jan. 4th-Sat. Jan. 8th 2005. I only have a select few pics online to post because all the others are in albums.. and some are on my old computer-which freaked out on me.. so I can't use the usb, or disk.. or burn a cd option.. so they are stuck on there for now. But here are a few from this trip.

We ate at Coral Reef in Epcot- MY FAVVV. restaurant!

I have WAY better pictures in the album but those are the best I have here. I know the people love pictures! hehe Do you guys know if there is a way to take your pictures and have them all put on a cd? If so, where? I was thinking of calling walmart photo or like a photo shop.

Ok this is all for now- since it took like an hour in half to do all this. Next time I will post my plans so far for our disneymoon! :dumbo:

Very sweet story :lovestruc
Mine and DH's story is very similar. My family gave me alot of grief when we decided to get married, said it wouldn't last, he was a loser, to different from me, bla bla bla. Almost 20 years later and we're still happily married while my sister has been divorced and my mom is on her 3rd husband.
Moral of the story:  Follow your heart!

I can't think of a better place to spend your honeymoon.
Can't wait to hear all of your plans!

Before I start my information on my disneymoon, I would like to share a few things that happened during the Jan. 2005 trip.

I remember the trip like it was yesterday. If I had all my pics on this computer I would post every single one of them. We started shopping for items and things we needed-we purchased a 24 pack of water to take (we broke it up into 2 bags- so it didn't weigh to much for flight), we bought a few snacks, and a few new clothes items and of course we forgot one of the most important things for the trip which was the dromamine!!
prod_dramamine_original_lg.jpg
Which you will soon find out that it was GREATLY needed!! So if I didn't mention this before this was my first trip to disney world since 4th grade and DFs first trip ever to WDW. This also made the trip that much more exciting because he never went, I had and I "kind" of knew what to look forward to. But he had no idea. Yes, I purchased like 3-4 books and read them all within the time we were planning to go the first time- till then. So I was somewhat knowledgeable about the WDW. It was also both of our first times flying. Yes.. we were nervous. Him WAYY more than I. The night before we stayed at my parents because my dad was driving us to the airport. I had to get up by 4:30am to take a shower, get ready and make sure we had everything we needed, DF didn't have to get up until lik 5:15 but this is not what happened at all. At like 10pm we laid down to try and go get some sleep. Of course it was soooo hard to fall asleep. Not only were we SUPER EXCITED for the trip but we were also soooo incredibily nervous to fly. Finally after laying in the dark for 2 hours, trying to make myself fall asleep- I fell asleep- but it felt like EVERY 15 mins or so DF kept waking me up.. either talking to me or moving around.. finally at like 1pm DF woke up me and said "I can't sleep" me-"U can't?" "No-I'm really scared to fly, I can't stop thinking about it". Now I think everyone first time flying is scary but for DF I think its more than scary because his mom like freaked out when he found out he was flying and I swear she told him every single thing she heard about plane crash accidents.. etc.. she has always been like that but when it came close to the trip it was worse. Now we both already have anxiety- DF more than me- he doesn't need to hear that. Ok so anyways, I said "It will be ok" ..and then I snooze off for a little longer- not in a deep sleep- I kept waking up on my own like every half hour- finally at like 3am- after DF waking me up like 3 times more I said "what?!" He said "I can't sleep-so I'm just going to go watch TV in the backroom". I said "Really, you are going to be soo tired" "It's ok-but I'm to nervous so I'm getting up". So he gets up, watches TV, never goes to sleep all night. I finally get up at 4:30- not feeling tired at all because I'm soo pumped. We get around- leave for the airport- arrive an hour early- like we were suppose to. We get a crossiant and juice and wait.. man this time felt like 90 hours.. we kept trying to talk but at this point DF had a huge headache from not getting sleep and anxiety for flying.. and his nerves were shot. I told him I wanted to sit on the inside by the window- he said ok.. but then when we got on the plane and sat down- he said "can I sit by the window- I said sure because I knew he was way more scared than I was. I remember when it started taking off and for some reason I felt like I was going to feel when the plane left the ground- like feel like there was nothing under me- its hard to explain. So my feet were like stuck on the ground- when it first took off-kind of like I was putting on my breaks in a car.. hehe then once I realized that you couldn't feel that. I just sat back and tried to breathe. Now this were the dromamine comes in. As we were taking off- it didn't bother me at all- sickness wise- my ears didn't pop, my stomach didn't hurt nothing-- and while we were up- even though we were incredibily tense for 2 hours- I was ok, it all started when we were landing- here DF was finally getting excited- and actually opening the window and keeping it open.. hehe saying "look its florida" and pointing.. I wanted to be excited with him and be happy.. but all of a sudden my ears started popping like no other, and because it hurt soo bad it was making my jaw hurt, my head hurt, and that was making me sick to my stomach.. soo we finally are landed and at this point- one side of my head is trobbing.. I couldn't hear out of one ear. I told DF as soon as we get inside I need to buy some tylenol. So we get inside- but since we were new here, flying and everything with airports- we just went from one thing to another- and didn't stop because we didn't want to miss our express to ASMovies. So I never got tylenol. Finally when we arrive at the hotel- we actually get EARLY check in at 11:00am woo hoo! So we went to the room set out stuff down, went to food courts-got some food, (still no tylenol), we then went back to the room- and decided to go to our first park- I was starting to feel a little better- but don't ask me why I didn't just go to the store at the hotel and get some- maybe it was all the excited of finally be there, and being at a new place, that kept me away.. whoo knows.. so we go to MGM.. DF seen tweedle dee and tweedle dumb- I had no idea who they were- but he was sooo excited because he always loved them, I took a pic with him in mickey hat, we walked around, checkout the park and the 3rd ride we rode was star tours... of course its a similation ride- and it made us both sick- we hadn't settled from the flight, and stuff.. so we were both sick to our stomachs.. We had dinner ress at Sci-fi but I was to sick- so we canceled and went back to the room. We decided to take a nap and see if that would help- we both layed down and within mins we were both out like a light- I woke up like 1 1/2 later- DF was still sleeping- but I felt completely better... nothing hurt at all and my ear was clear.. I felt refreshed.. so I let DF sleep a little longer and then woke him up- we went and at the food court again, and then went swimming and relaxed for the night. So already you can see if we would of take dromamine in the first place- we might of felt better already. This is not the last time that we got sick. But I promise this trip was soo much fun! :rotfl:

Hey Jen! Thanks for replying to my TR! I'm returning the favor by subscribing to your pre-TR. Great story about how you and Austin fell in love. BTW, I have a son named Austin (you may have noticed that when reading my TR).

Yes I did notice.. and that is a fine name!! :cool1: hehe It's kind of funny because ever since I heard the name Austin- I always loved it and I said that if I ever had a son would name him Austin, and then my cousin had a son and named him Austin- and not because of his name but he is my fav. of her kids. ;) Then I met Austin my DF and I always told him how much I loved his name and how it was soo weird that I met someone with the name Austin- let alone someone I had a relationship with- because in 2002 and before that- there wasn't many common Austins around.. soo maybe I didn't get a child named Austin but I did get a fiance and soon to be husband.. and thats just as good! Who knows, if we ever have children- if I wanted to I could name him Austin Jr.. hehe I bet there aren't many of those around.. hehe

Thanks for subscribing! :hippie:

Yeah, Austin was a pretty popular name for babies when our Austin was born in 2001. Most people probably think we were just following the crowd (obviously inspired by the Austin Powers movies), but we actually selected two boy names and two girl names not long after we got married in 1994. We didn't realize that we'd have to wait 7 years until we finally had our first child. ;)

After we went back to the room for the night. We actually tried to order pizza for room delivery. Now granted this is Disney World in all- but when we order our 1 lrg pizza with 2 toppings and a pop- it came to $40. Granted we did order room delivery- but come on $40 for 1 pizza?!! We were shocked! I immediately told DF to call and tell them to cancel it. So he did and we decided just to walk down to the food court and spend like $20 instead of $40.. so it was really like we were paying someone $20 to deliver the food.. pfff. I'd rather walk thank you! Anyways so we went walked down to the food court and we seen that they had pizza there. We weren't sure if it was the same pizza that they have for room service- but we noticed it was half the price. So we ordered pizza and got something to drink and sat at the table. We were seriously confused with why it was so much. Oh well.. it was dinner and we went back to the room. We laid in the bed, turned on the disney channel and began to highlight and go over our "favorites" list that I printed from disneyworld.com for each park before we left. We were going over Epcot!
We decided before we left that since we only had 4 1/2 days to disney world that we wanted to make the most out of it and keep track of things we wanted to do FORSURE while we were at the parks. This actually worked out so well because we were there in January- where the parks aren't busy at all. The whole week we were there we only waited in 1 line- it was the winnie the pooh ride- which neither of us cared for.

Epcot- was beautiful! It was by far one of my favorite parks. This was the first day I actually met mickey and minnie! When I seen them you should of seen me and heard me actually. This was me "AUSTIN LOOK ITS MICKEY.. YEAH..." and here's DF "yep.. it is.. you are so funny- how excited you are" .So yes I was literally as excited as a kid. I can't help the first time I seen him I was 21-give me a break. I guess I do that little kid excitement thing sometimes and DF thinks to himself.. omgoodness.and laughs. but I say that is why you love me. :lovestruc
We also took many other pictures- which I wish I could show you- but they aren't on this computer!
My Favorite country was Morocco.. idk why but I just think its soo beautiful. Maybe my thoughts will change when I go there this time.
At Epcot for dinner we had a res. at 4:30pm (when they first open for dinner). We got the pick of the place were to sit. Of course we picked by the aquarium. This was our fav. restaurant of our stay. We both had the filet mignon dinner. It was delicious- one of the best steaks we ever had. Sadly, I didn't even take pictures of it. I didn't catch on yet- that people do that to savor the experience and cature the memories.. but I will this time PROMISE!

Also, we got one of the pictures were you pose- and then they place you in a background- we of course picked MK- cinderellas castle and we are waving.. its my FAV. pick! We were actually trying to find the ones were you place your face in a poster scene from a movie- anyone know were to do that?!

This night we went to DTD to the hmm.. whats the name.. the interactive place.. I'm having a brain fart... anywho..we both loved that.. expecially DF and the food we got in the food court was delicious.. surprisingly.

Day 3- This was Magic Kingdom day!!!!!! My most excited day of all because this was the actual park I had been to before. As soon as we walked in and on main street and I looked down and seen the castle.. I wanted to cry.. I can't explain the amount of excitement/happiness:jumping1: I felt. I had waited over 10 years for this... :hyper:

Here we ate at Pinnochio Village Haus, and Cinderellas Castle.

Some of our FAV. rides of hand were Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Aladdin Magic Carpets, and Peter Pan..and I experienced my very first parade "Make a Dream Come True" Parade! Which I took a billion pictures!! =))

We eventually went back to the hotel and went swimming, went to Planet Hollywood in DTD to eat-which they had the BEST steamed veggies.. still to this day I crave them! and went back to MK to watch the night time spectakular parade..and the fireworks.. which even though we were squished :crowded:during the parade by the fireworks, we all had lots of room and I was almost in tears.. tears of happiness of course!

Day 4: we went to Animal Kingdom. My fav. memory of this day was when we went to the Bugs life show.. and I was all freaking  because of the bugs.. especially when the bees were flying around.. because I was attacked when I was little.. and so I clinched onto DFs arm/leaning forward, closing my eyes and laughing.. and then DF said "OUUCCHH" I said what? He said I just got stung in my back.. hahahahaah :lmao: I didn't get stung because I was sitting forward cletched on him.. hehe to FUNNY!

We pretty much loved everyting from this park. This was DFs favorite park. I loved shopping there- I bought some cool jewelry for myself of course but also for my best friends to take back home and give to them!
This was our last night and we went to DTD to shop. I ddin't think it would be busy at DTD at nighttime (besides in pleasure island) but obviously I was wrong because everyone was there.. but it was still fun. I bought a photo album and a few odd and end things for my family.

Day 5- we didn't do a lot of things this day. We woke up, packed up, and decided not to go to parks because we didn't think there was enough time- (now we know there was). We are at the food court, played in the arcade, lounged around by the pool, and went the the airport.

OK so in a round about-fast way- I went through our trip! If I think any other funny tidbits to put in I will later..!!

Next time- info on my wedding party: and honeymoon!! :woohoo:

I love Epcot too, but I've only walked past the front of Morocco. I'll have to take time to explore the Morocco section next trip. Germany is my favorite area of World Showcase. It reminds me of some of the charming medieval villages we visited in Germany 9 years ago. I like France too.

Ok.. seriously I have been crazy-insanely busy and I haven't had time to post my honeymoon. I just moved about 25 minutes away from school and I will be commuting. I love our new place.. we are currently painting, and trying to get the place organized. bvut I'm gone all day til about 5pm and then I eat dinner and it doesn't leave me much time to do stuff. BUT next week is my spring break from school and my goal is to get everything painted. I will post pictures when everything is done. It's not spectacular buts its DF and I's first house. Anywho my disneymoon is only a little over 3 months away..So I do have a few minutes to post the general information.

OK Our wedding is June 7th, 2008 located in my hometown. Our honeymoon is Monday, June 9th- Monday, June 16th 2008. We are staying at Pop Century resort. This is our first time at this resort so I am crossing my fingers for good things. I have heard and read many positive things, especially about the food cout and I liked asmovies so this one should be WAY better. We usually stay in the ASMovies but being I have the goal to stay at a lot of the resorts- I needed to choose a new one. However, I don't have any interest in staying at ASSports. Anyways, we are flying out at 7:00am nonstop flight! YIPPY! :woohoo: and our return flight is around 6:30pm nonstop as well! We are using the magical express, the regular dining plan, and we are also hopefully attending Cirque Du Soleil. I think thats how to spell it. OHH and I also registered for the disney honeymoon registry- and you can register for things online.. and people can purchase things for it. Its great! The only downfall is I have to print off my own cards to send out in invitations.. pff.. but its ok. I didn't know they had it.. and I'm glad I'm working with "Build a Better Mouse Trip" because they have been extremely helpful- even more helpful than many disney people over the phone and internet chat. I will also receive a free disneys honeymoon bag for registering and I am soo excited. It should be here within 4-6 weeks. YEAH! I wish you could purchase disney honeymoon items but you can't- its seems kind of stupid to me.. but oh well. At least I get the special limited tote bag!

I have already made most of our reservations. I will post them later- because I don't have them with me right now. I'm at wonderful school- so I have to wait to go home. But I will post them as soon as I get a chance. :woohoo:

I wanted to ask- what things besides flowers can you have sent to the room prior to arrival? I want to have something sent for my DF when we get there. Does it only work for certain resorts? :confused3 Thanks!

:hippie:

I am looking forward to hearing more about your planning. My wife and I visited Disney for our honeymoon back in '99. We stayed at Coronado and really enjoyed it.

Pop Century is just what I said, nice. Not great but not bad. The food court was nice and the pools were nice. Catch my drift? But, the parks I why I go, my family hardly spent any time at the hotel and when we did, we were too exhausted to get out of the room.

My favorite that I have stayed at was French Quarter, the architecture and the boat to downtown disney.

Anyway, good luck on your wedding and trip.

That's so wonderful that you gave your DF a chance despite what others may have thought...look what great things that decision has brought you. I am so excited for you---a wedding and a trip to Disney all at once! I don't know if I could handle that amount of planning! :goodvibes Can't wait to read more...

Yeah- We really only go for disney world... the resort is just an extra plus! I do like the value resorts though- they are nice for the price.. as long as they don't keep going up! hehe But I like them. We barely spent anytime there either until the last day.. we swam maybe twice in our pool and ate at the food court a few times but its works for me. I really want to stay in animal kindgom lodge someday!

Yeah- I know! I'm am soo pumped about this! I get to FINALLY get married and I get to go to my FAVORITE place! It's great. Yeah I did make a lot of sacrifices. I almost lost all my best friends over it- because they felt I was making a stupid decision. Eventually we got back on track but it took almost a year. But my DF is a lot different then he was, he has grown up a lot. We were all young when this happened- and you do stupid things. But now they all love him. Weird how things worked out. :rotfl: and I'm glad so far my pre trip isn't dull because this is my first one! =)

I just wanted to post and say that we have finally hit double digits! 99 days until we get :bride: married!!!!!:cloud9: and only 101 days until our disneymoon. In 2 days.. it will be double digits.. its getting so close.. soo exciting but so stressful! hehe Our disneymoon is all planned out, restaurants booked, etc.. but the wedding- odd and ends still need to be done. The flower :flower3:I chose at first was magenta gerbera daisy with the lime green center, but I switched to casablanca lily.. I haven't decided on the color. BUT I am having a hard time finding them. I wanted to use silk flowers because I want to beable to keep them..but I think my choice might need to change. Anywho.. I will try and post my dinner res. and stuff by this weekend!

I just wanted to say today I paid off our disneymoon! :dancer: :donald: I'm super excited so much stress has been relieved from my shoulders! Now I can sit back and be super excited! :cool1: We had to change our reservations a little bit because we just moved, and my DF work scheduled changed a little bit soo we are going 7 days instead of 8. Which is still ok with me. This way its easier on DF because he will have a day off the next day before returning to work. Otherwise we would get home around 10pm and then he would have to be up by 4:30am. I didn't want to do that to him. Staying one more day isn't that important. I think after this though I am going to stick going in January- because its cheaper and its like we have the parks to ourselves. Now we are in the process of booking air. I'm kind of mad because I almost booked in Jan and I wish I would of because it was so much cheaper than now but I heard that they run specials a couple months before and well soo far I haven't seen one. So now its like about $100 more. Are there any websites or anything you guys use or request to find good prices on flight?! :confused3 OHH and I have to change our dining schedule.. so I can't post it now until we change everything.. ekk. I'm mad I had everything planned out already.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: You paid off your trip! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Now if I could only pay off mine....:earseek:

hehe it will happen.. believe I stressed for like 2 months because it was getting soo close to the deadline. It's the greatest feeling even my DF has been in a better mood.. and he keeps saying "Aren't you glad we got that paid off?" hehe I think he was more stressed then I was. :upsidedow

Well its now 83 days until my wedding and 85 days until disneymoon! I'm soo excited.. kind of stressed but definitely excited. I never realized how stressful planning a wedding can be.. I want things to be perfect, and its hard to find perfect when you don't know much about wedding things anyways.. right now we are in search for a florist... here are my flowers I have chosen for my bouquets:

Stagazer Lily

Bridesmaids: That is a bad picture.. but it wouldn't let me save the bigger one.. but its had a pretty broach on the side.. also we are currently looking for a broach for the maid of honors dress.. which we can't order through davids bridal.. pretty dumb if you ask me.

OH and I guess I can post my engagement ring.. its a crappy picture.. but non of the pics show up right.. soo I will give you a pic from my hand and from that the store has. It's antique style which is what I always wanted..except now if the fun part to find something to go with it for my second band at the wedding.. I'm thinking I'm going to have to get something made... we will see.
