There were two chefs that night, one was Scott Hunnel and the other was a woman who’s name I can’t remember nor is it on the menu but we met with her and she was very nice. She said they have 10 courses at the chef’s table, as opposed to 7 in the dining room.

Hey, you look like you could be a 'Disney Suit', one of the executives that walk around making sure that everything is running smoothly! :teeth: You both look great! We did the chef's table in 2004 and loved it! The other chef you were referring to is Aimee, who is second in command. She is FABULOUS! I'm so glad you guys enjoyed your dinner! :thumbsup2

LOL- a match made in heaven.

I liked reading the sections about Everest and Soarin. We haven't done those yet- maybe in January. Also, glad to hear how much you liked Alfredo's. I have ADR's there for our next trip and can't wait to try it. Can't wait to read the rest of your report!

Yes, Disney called me a few weeks prior and asked if we were celebrating anything, as well as any allergies. I didn't think to tell them about my banana allergy
When we got to V&A's, they asked if we there was anything we didn't like. It was such a good time, the food was excellent!

Our wedding cake was designed by Ron Ben Israel, and it was in several different layers. We still have yet to eat the top! :)

Thanks!! To me, I think a Disneymoon is more fun. I originally chose Disney as our honeymoon spot, but was quickly turned down by the wife. She wanted to go somewhere that we'd normally never go like Hawaii or the Bahamas, but eventually broke down and gave in to Disney.

For us, we're not really beach people and would probably be bored. I know a lot of places have other things to do, but this was our honeymoon in Walt Disney World! It's an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it. I'm not being biast or anything ;)

Thanks much! Did you guys have a lot of fun? GO RAVENS!!!!!!!! :) I'm originally from northeast(Blair road, hon ;) ) and moved to Bel Air. Where are you from?

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and I hope to post more of the report soon. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

We did the 7:30 Hoop de Doo and also got Table 13. And the lady did the same show for me. Did everyone sing "Let me call you sweetheart"? That was something we both enjoyed. We took a picture of our table to the stage because we couldn't believe we were that close

Thanks! I really want to honeymoon in Disney. Me and my boyfriend are not really beach people either and I feel like Disney caters to events better then any other resort or destination spot would! I think that Im sold now! Cant wait for the next update!

Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a great turkey day and have recovered from all the eating.

“Of all the Charlie Brown’s in the world, you’re the Charlie Browniest” Sorry, watching a classic cartoon.

Day 5 – 10/12/06

Another 7am wake up call, we get ready and head to the dock to take the boat over to MGM. When you stay at the Beach or Yacht club, there is no bus to MGM, only walking or boat.
Honeymoon232.jpg

Honeymoon233.jpg

Our plan is to get fastpasses for Rock N’Rollercoaster and then get some breakfast, but when we get closer to the hat, we see one of Tracy’s favorite, Mater!
Honeymoon237.jpg

Honeymoon238.jpg

Honeymoon239.jpg

We then see a bunch of characters around the hat, and we decide to get our picture with Daisy.
DisneyPhotoImage24.jpg

Head down towards RNR and grab our fastpasses, which aren’t for a little while, so we’ve got plenty of time for breakfast. We walk up to Starring Rolls and we both have cinnamon buns and juice. They’re not bad, the same as you’d find anywhere in Disney.
Morning shots of MGM
Honeymoon242.jpg

Honeymoon241.jpg

After breakfast we head back to RNR only to find it wasn’t working, but that they’d honor our fastpasses throughout the day. A little bummed out, we move on. I won’t go on Tower of Terror so we skip that one.
We walk towards the Great Movie Ride, which is always fun. The line was a little long but it moves pretty good. Tracy wants to see Beauty and The Beast stage show so we head back down and grab seats toward the back of the theater.
Honeymoon244.jpg

Honeymoon245.jpg

Honeymoon246.jpg

It’s closing in on 12:30 and the Indiana Jones show is about to get started. We wait in the stand-by line to see if we can get in.
Bored in line
Honeymoon249.jpg

Honeymoon248.jpg

By this point it started to get a little cloudy for the first time during our trip and it started to drizzle. The line then starts to move just as the rain gets harder. We move all the way to the right and get in row number 3. The director eventually comes out and tells us that they can’t shoot the final scene because of the rain, which means the plane scene was gone. It’s a really good show, and I know it’s been in the rumor mill for an update or extinction, but I think it’s good enough to keep around for awhile. Sounds Dangerous, now that’s another story :)
After the show, we were hungry and we didn’t want burgers and fries, so we find Toy Story Pizza Planet and get ourselves pizza. But of course with the dining plan you get salad and a dessert. While eating a couple notices that we’re honeymooning and they were going to be Disneymooning next year. May, I think they said. We told them congrats decide to do Muppets next, which was just letting people in when we got there.
I like the show but I think it should have been more centered to the older characters, and not Bean the bunny. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good show but the rest of the Muppets are totally underused.
By this time the rain had stopped and the sun was starting to come back out and it was warm, so we hit Voyage of the Little Mermaid which is a great show for how they do it. When they say no flash photography, they mean it! Don’t use your camera or you’ll ruin the show for the little ones!
We both had never done the Magic of Disney Animation, and since it was next door, it was an easy decision. The setup was cool, an animator was talking to the dragon from Mulan and describing how they came up with his character. We were then lead into a room with Cars storyboards and models.
Honeymoon251.jpg

We could have met The Incredibles but decided against it since the Stars and Cars parade was coming up.

After the parade, it was time to go. But not before getting a photopass!
DisneyPhotoImage28.jpg

We didn’t get to do everything we wanted, but we would make it back Saturday. It was time to get ready for our first MNSSHP!

Next up – Day 5 Part 2!

Day 5 Part 2

After a quick nap and a shower, we step in our “Halloween” gear. Tracy had her Target cat shirt and my Charlie Brown Halloween t-shirt. We walk through Epcot to the monorail and head to the Magic Kingdom.
Honeymoon296.jpg

Honeymoon297.jpg

Honeymoon298.jpg

Honeymoon299.jpg

We grabbed a map and looked around at all the Halloween decorations. We noticed the crowd of people exiting to our left and the CM’s ushering us in. A lot of the restaurants are either closed or booked, so we check the map and walk towards Cosmic Ray’s. We get cheeseburgers and fries and while we’re eating we hear the theme for from Space Odyssey and Cosmic Ray disappears into the ceiling and up comes Stitch wearing an Elvis costume! It was pretty funny and I tried to get a picture but it didn’t turn it. It was one of Mickey’s Dance Party and all the kids got up to dance, it was so cute. After dinner, and since we were in Tomorrowland, Space Mountain is on tap! It seemed faster at night, which from what I’ve read about rollercoaster’s probably is true.
Honeymoon302.jpg

Honeymoon305.jpg

Honeymoon306.jpg

Since it’s Halloween, we wanted to do Pirates and the Haunted Mansion, but we pass all seven Dwarfs with Snow White! But the line was incredibly long and the guy said they’d be back at 8:45, so we were on a mission to be back just before then. While walking towards Pirates, we notice that there was a photopass with Cinderella’s Coach and wanted to get our picture so we wait in the massively long line.
Took this while in line.
Honeymoon308.jpg

When we finally got to the front, she made us pose as if I were proposing.
DisneyPhotoImage21.jpg

There were several honeymooners in line and they all got to do the same thing. By the time the we were finished it was time to head back to see Snow White and only a few people in line. Tracy doubts me because there isn’t anyone around and she thought it was the wrong place, but I was right for once! There is no photopass for this, which there should be. There is only one (angry)guy trying to keep the peace. We hand him our camera and got this great shot!
Honeymoon316.jpg

Unfortunately I’m not even looking at the camera! I didn’t notice until later, but we were going back on Tuesday so we would get another picture.
Since we were close to Toontown, we walk down and check out all the decorations and finally go trick or treating!
Honeymoon317.jpg

The first candy line was between a few rides that I don’t remember but they only handed you a few things. Then it was on to Alice’s and Mad Hatter’s Treat Party! I loved all the candy stations along the way, and it was cool to see walking talking cards.
Look who we ran into!
Honeymoon318.jpg

A woman dressed as Alice walked by and Hatter started screaming, “Wait, where are you going!!!?!” It was pretty funny. The only downside was there was no Alice at all, she didn’t make the trick or treat path! What a rip-off! Oh well, at least we got some good candy out of it. Since we were dumped out in Tomorrowland, we got some more candy around there. It was closing in on Hallowishes and I thought it would be easier to stand by Pooh to see the fireworks since I knew Main Street would be crowded. It was interesting to stand back there because it really gives you a sense at how far away the big fireworks actually are. There are several cannons from Pooh down to Philharmagic and they were bright and loud but what a great show! The music was awesome and I liked how it had the evil characters in it. The only downside was having to look left and right when the fireworks went off because of our position. It is a great spot if you don’t like crowds, but you really don’t get the full effect if you’re standing on main street. It’s finally time to head for Pirates and Frontierland. We stop for some candy along the way and ride Pirates and then head towards BTMRR. There was a tiny candy just off to the side where no one really was. You’d like they’d load you up but only do a couple. We make it over to the Haunted Mansion and on the way out we get a photopass.
DisneyPhotoImage20.jpg

It was closing in on the Boo To You parade and we get our spot in Liberty Square. I decide to make a quick bathroom stop before the parade begins so I leave the wife and run off to find a bathroom. You’d think I’d know where all the bathrooms are, but I wind up walking all the way around the castle only to end up Fantasyland by Peter Pan.
On more tour, I took a few pictures
Honeymoon323.jpg

Honeymoon324.jpg

Once I made it back around, the headless horseman was riding through!
Honeymoon326.jpg

Now, it was literally 10 minutes later until the start of the parade came. This was a very slow moving parade, I felt bad for those on main street! The music is very catchy, “Boo to you and you, Happy Halloween!” It goes through your head and you’ll be singing it over and over and over for weeks and months to come, trust me. “It’s really not so scary”

Honeymoon337.jpg

Honeymoon340.jpg

Honeymoon343.jpg

The Pirates float was cool, but my favorite was the Haunted Mansion one. They had all these guys with shovels and they’d do this cool spin move where they’d lay the shovels on the ground and spin them creating sparks.
Honeymoon348.jpg

Honeymoon350.jpg

Honeymoon351.jpg

At the end of the parade was Goofy and CM’s handing out candy to the little ones.
Honeymoon375.jpg

It was a really cool and fun parade, and we will watch it again when we go back! But now it was time to head to Main Street to find the MNSSHP pins. We were told that we can find them at the jewelry store, if they weren’t sold out. However, watching the parade from Liberty Square had it’s down side. Since it was such a slow moving parade, we couldn’t get around to get to Main Street as quickly as we wanted. The large group of people had to slowly crawl until it finally moved off Main Street. Find the jewelry store and while Tracy’s looking at the pins, I just ask for all the available pins they had from previous MNSSHP’s. I got most of them, and Tracy was surprised that I got them all. I told her it was easier this way then to just try and find a specific one. $80 worth of pins later, we walk over to the Emporium to do a little more shopping. I wind up buying one of the Halloween Disney shirts for the next party, as well as a couple little things. It was closing in on the Villains mix and mingle and we get our spots close to the front, but they shortly announce that it will not be shown, but the villains will be out to greet. The Evil Queen is there and Tracy bravely gets her picture with her.
Honeymoon378.jpg

We took a few minutes to look around at all the colors and the décor at night, and I wish I got better pictures of it.
Honeymoon382.jpg

Honeymoon383.jpg

It was closing in on midnight and we decide on a couple photopasses on the way out.
DisneyPhotoImage16.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage13.jpg

Took more on after we left.
Honeymoon385.jpg

Honeymoon387.jpg

Honeymoon388.jpg

We hop on the bus back to the BC and once we hit the room we dump our candy out to check out our loot!
Honeymoon389.jpg

I got a Necco? They still make these? I called it my “rock” Also we got some raisins. Not just Raisinettes, but boxes of raisins. These promptly made their way to the trash can. We pack up the candy and this time I don’t make a wake up call since we decide to take it slow for Friday. We were pretty excited about not having to be anywhere until dinner and it would feel nice to sleep in. Our first stop would be Downtown Disney for some more shopping!

Next up – Day 6 – Disappointment at the California Grill
