Hey all I'm planning a trip to Disneyland at the end of this month that will bleed over into the first part of November (Oct 28-Nov6). My question is to everyone here is that I'm going to go completely alone, my brother who lives in LA may join me for a day but other than that I'm on my own! I have read some people's thoughts on a solo trip but most people just seem to be there for a day have any of you been there an extended amount of time? I could always choose to go to Orlando instead if other people suggested but wanted others thoughts. I just really like the park and figure maybe other people on this forum would get it. I'm from Texas and none of my other friends can afford/want to go. Just wanted to get other input also if anyone would be interested in meeting up for any meals, rides, or photo stuff let me know! Thanks all.

Totally do it. You will have a great opportunity to see Disneyland change from Halloween to Christmas. I'd concentrate on doing the Halloween things the first few days: Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, the pumpkins in Big Thunder Ranch. Take your time, see some great shows: Aladdin, Billy Hill and the Hillbillies are musts.

I have done a couple of solo trips, but like most, both were for a single day after a conference. But I loved them!

You get to see what you want, ride what you want, and eat what you want, all on your schedule. I could sit and people watch for hours, or just walk around and take pictures all day. You will have a great time.

Since I'll be there so long I'm thinking about getting a passport maybe ewn the premiere because I want to go to Floriday next year. I do like the idea of doing what I want whenever I want lol, not sure how fun rides are on your own though. I pretty much intend to eat at every place I can while I'm there I'll really live it up. This is my only vacation this year and I either use it or lose it!

Some of the single rider lines are amazing. Last October I rode California Screamin 17 times in one hour, around 2 on a Thursday.

Will they have all the decorations up before I leave or are they just going to transition during that time? I thought they would be up closer to the middle of November but I didn't know. I'm really bummed Pirates will be closed guess I'll have to return soon....

I'm doing the exact same thing, earlier the same week. I can't wait to spend four days wandering through the parks with no schedule to follow. Plus it's not like you're really alone, the park is full of people who feel the same way about it that you do. Have a great trip and enjoy yourself!

You def have to report back and let me know how it goes, I have to admit I'm still a little nervous about spending basically a week and a half alone there. I am sure I will still have a good time but would love feedback of someone that goes for 4 days alone.

You'll have tons of fun!! I love going by myself to people watch and go on whatever rides I want. My only limitation is that I'm a big chicken so there are a lot of rides I won't go on alone (haunted mansion, snow white, etc) so those rides have to wait until I'm with friends.

They will still be in transition, but many will be up. The beginning of the holiday season is November 14.

Have you been to Disneyland before?

My longest trip was 10.5 days. 5 days were solo. After having been there for the 5.5 days with my best friend the 5 days solo were too much. A perfect amount of time I think is 3-4 days in the slow season and 5-6 in the busier time. That is if you go for rope drop and stay most of the day. If you are going only partial days than a longer time is nice.

I think it also depends on the person. I prefer to have someone else to tour with but some solo time is nice as well.
