Yay!! Yay!! Yay!! Just booked for September. Haven't stayed at the Disneyland Resort Hotel since I was 8 years old! Taking my DH and two DS (9, 5). My questions are does anyone know how late the pool areas are open at the Disneyland Hotel? Can you use the other resort grounds/pools etc, if you are staying at one of them? What time is the Amazing Fountains show at the Hotel? Can you make Blue Bayou reservations from the Disneyland Hotel, or just from the park. Are there any theme dining at the Hotel that's a don't miss? I was looking at Goofy's Kitchen. Is there actually a show?
Thanks for your help!!!

Can't help you with the pool question, but with making reservations for the Blue Bayou, I would suggest making them from home (and soon--I think it's supposed to be 60 days out that you can do it, though some here have heard different) if you want to eat at a popular time. This place fills up fast. Goofy's Kitchen is a character meal--there isn't really a show, just every 30 minutes all the characters in the restaurant dance the Macarena

The pools there will be open to either 8 o'clock or 10 at the latest. I can't remember which.
Goofy's Kitchen is a great character meal. when I've gone, they've had tons of characters going through there. Good food and good selection of food too.

To make priority seating arrangements at the Blue Bayou or Carnation Plaza at Disneyland, the Hotel restaurants and the restaurants at Downtown Disney call (714) 781-DINE (3463), or dial *86 from any Resort pay phone once you've arrived.

I just called them, and you can make priority seating arrangements up to 60 days in advance for Blue Bayou. :)

As for pool hopping, Disneyland Hotel guests might be able to go to the Paradise Pier pool, but cannot go to the Grand Californian pool. However, you can go to the Grand Californian and enjoy their lounges.

The dancing waters show twice nightly, I believe, and it's best if you ask at the hotel desk when you check in what time they start dancing.

Also, there is a koi pond there, and if you are there when they feed the koi, they'll share the pellets so you can also feed them.

Just wanted to let you know there is a possibility that you might not be able to get the Blue Bayou at 60 days, but just keep trying. I have been trying since last week, which was about 55 days until my August trip and they told me to try in about two weeks for that date. Well, impatient me tried Monday again after about one week, and I was told give it another week. They had the day before I want in the computer but do not have my date yet. I guess I will keep trying.

Good luck to you with your planning and if you want the Blue Bayou, give it a try at 60 days. Maybe you will have better luck. September, hopefully, will not be too busy.:D

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel June 28 & 29. The pool was open 9 - 10, but the slide closed at 8. The Fantasy Water show was offered twice, at 9 and 10 pm. My daughter and I really liked it. We went to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast and found it to be very expensive ($77 for 4). We had a 7:30 PS. The buffet was HUGE so we probably would have done better going later, more for brunch. We saw Goofy, Donald, Alice and Aladdin and Pluto was there for picture taking. Baloo left right after we got there. We saw Chip and Dale and Jasmine at dinner when we walked by the previous night. I believe we could have used the pool at Paradise Pier but the kids LOVED the Neverland Pool at DLH.

We've gotten same day ps for the Blue Bayou, so don't stress about that. You can call from anywhere in the resort the make your reservations.
