“We’re not changing the size of the toast, we’re just spreading the peanut butter around,” according to a Disney official.
I mean, you gotta hand it to Disney. It's a pretty shrewd business move to bring this discussion forward at this point in time. As if Anaheim will say no.
Wow. This just makes my day, it represents so much hope for the future and I needed that right now. I know it’ll be years, but still. Also I didn’t realize they had so much space left to work with.
this cracked me up![]()

Well, that came out of nowhere. I would imagine Anaheim now realized the full impact Disneyland has on their economy. Smart of Disney for coming back to the table with this at this point.
Also, it doesn’t appear that they are looking for much from the city, only, essentially, to get out of the way.
Probably a bad time to (again) point out how bad OC Register is.
"The Immersive Theme Park westside expansion envisions a theme park on the Downtown Disney and Lilo and Stitch parking lots woven amid the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel.
Disney officials described the west-side site bounded by Katella Avenue, Walnut Street, Magic Way and Disneyland Drive as more of a theme park expansion than a new 'third gate.'"
It's a theme park... but it's not a theme park. Literally in the next sentence. Ugh.

I think the map (above) makes it more understandable than the coverage - the "theme park" pieces are intended to be expansions of Disneyland and DCA.Theyre not the only ones calling it a third gate despite I think it says somewhere (can’t find it right this second) on the Disney site it’s not.
DtD will get eaten up and the hotels surrounded by the theme park. Entire bubble concept. Love it.
My thoughts exactly.I mean, you gotta hand it to Disney. It's a pretty shrewd business move to bring this discussion forward at this point in time. As if Anaheim will say no.
