Oh my god this guy, he never just says something clearly. Can someone translate what in the world he just said?

something about growth and inclusion, will go back and get exact words when he finishes
Yep, he talked a lot about inclusion, but I don't know what the heck that means as it pertains to theme parks reopening.
The inclusion part was in regards to the new equity standard in tier system which was part of another question not relating to Disney.I read this as if one park opens, they all open. No one is left behind.
So if one goes bankrupt, they all go bankrupt....
Awesome! He finally addressed the equity matrix, something that's been on all of our minds for months. One thing, though: what's an "equity matrix?"This pretty much sums it up
A transcript (by me).
Question: I have two questions. What's the latest with regards to reopening Disneyland and other theme parks. And second, when it relates to this new equity metric, some county officials have voiced some concern that this metric may hold them back from reopening business and schools at a time when reopening may bring an economic boost to their communities. So I'm curious why your administration is introducing this metric at this time and are you concerned at all it could slow economic recovery?
Answer: Well we introduced the construct when we introduced the tiered status. In fact, it was part of the original presentation, the original announcement. So it's not particularly new. So, I'll just say this. You believe in growth and you don't believe in inclusion, then we're going to leave a lot of people behind. And one of the things we value as a state is inclusion. and we believe that we're all better off when we're all better off. Leaving communities behind in order to game your testing and your case rates, I don't think is right. And so our approach is about making sure that we are doing justice to our diverse communities. And that we're not just gaming the system to paint a much more rosy picture that may be for some but not all members of a community, particularly a specific county.
As it relates to your specific frame, that some counties are concerned, you'll hear tomorrow Dr Ghaly will come out with the new updates on the tiered status and the movement and our broad strokes belief looks to be in this frame. Meaning, the equity measure, may interestingly, may help advance the cause of reopening in some stakes as some counties may be doing more in that respect and that's being counted into their capacity to move more expeditiously to move through the tier. So, in fact, it may be something that advantages an economic opening but does so in a way that brings more people to light and more inclusion to bear. And so we believe in that as a core value and we believe that framework is an appropriate one.

This is one way to ask the question. The way I would have asked, however, would have been "Dude. Disneyland?" A little more direct and to the point, I think.A transcript (by me).

Lol someone should ask "in 15 words or less, and without using the word 'soon' when will theme parks be given guidelines to reopen?"This is one way to ask the question. The way I would have asked, however, would have been "Dude. Disneyland?" A little more direct and to the point, I think.
