Yes I finally read some comments and people think it's dumb that Disney is trying to open. But again, they have no idea the safety procedures in place, and how they are must stricter when it comes to masks, and distancing than the local grocery store.

Yeah, people had the same reaction to FL reopening theme parks. As long as Disney can get the unions on board I think that's the only public opinion that really matters to the governor. Random people on the internet who may or may not be real and may or may not be Californians? Not so much.

Newsom was criticized for reopening too quickly in June. That is why he is taking a more cautious approach now. He WILL most certainly face criticism when he allows Theme Parks to reopen. It doesn’t matter to the general public that it may be done safely.

I've used the WDW park reservation system in order to make our park reservations for our January 2021 trip. It was VERY easy to use. Very simple.

I agree but how long until it crashes on day one. From what I have gathered the speculated date now is Oct 16th. i have a flight to go Oct 22nd to Oct 25. I worry that if they do open that I won't be able to get a reservation and have to cancel my flight again.

Just moved my 10/9-10/12 trip to 11/4-11/8. I received the 35% off at Paradise Pier plus kept my $50/night credit from rebooking since July. She said you could use the 35% on the Grand or PP but not DLH.

not sure of all the discounts, but we booked GCH with 25% off weekend and 35% off weekday. It just came out yesterday afternoon.

I just spoke with WDTC. I was told the new discount is 35% off weekdays and 25% off weekends. They only included GCH and PP in the verbal explanation. The rate can be applied to room only reservations right now. The discount will not be available until Monday, for those of us who have packages. I was told to call back. I confirmed the $50 resort credit is still valid.

We have room only midweek for November and never had tickets added (Rescheduled from August). Sounds like we don’t qualify.

Its pretty much certain that if you stay on sight you will get access to the park, AP or ticket holders. I have not heard of one WDW resort guest not getting access to their park of choice during their stay. But Disney World does not have a flex pass so that could make things interesting here.

Is the 35% discount for everyone or just those booking directly? All my moneys been tied up with Get Away Today so even though we’ve also been cancelled/moved dates a few times I think we’re not eligible for anything.

I don't know. I don't think that WDW has an equivalent to DL's Flex Pass. However, WDW AP'ers who couldn't get a park reservation early on WERE able to get a park reservation by having an on site hotel stay. Doing that moves you from the AP category to the on-site guest category.

Also, WDW stated to its on site guests that they'd be able to get a park reservation at A park, but no guarantees that it would be the park you wanted on that particular day. You can go on the WDW site today and see what the availability is before you even make a selection, so that's handy when making one's travel plans.
