This is very discouraging news.

Looks like Disneyland won't be in play until sometime in 2021. So odd that WDW has proven it can be done safely. So glad I don't live in California.

I think you're closer to the mark. I can't see them opening for a MINIMUM of 12 weeks. And that's assuming their case rate has a consistent drop into each next category in 3 weeks.

Yeah 1 case per 100,000 is a very tight target. Basically the counties around the US with that level are very rural.

So areas in "SUBSTANTIAL" zone (red) can now have theaters open at 25% capacity.

This includes San Diego and San Francisco right now.

Why can't Disneyland be open at 25% capacity?

We aren't locked in our homes. There is a big difference between being able to go to a Theme Park and being locked in your home.

Stop being so dramatic it’s just Disneyland, it’s a luxury not a necessity. We aren’t locked in our homes we can still go outside we just can’t go to theme parks big deal. It is not the end of the world that Disneyland is closed.
Disneyland will open sometime in the future.

Gut punch but it hasn’t sunk in. So many people’s livelihoods and businesses have no hope now.

What I'm saying is that in order to meet the kind of numbers that he is looking to achieve, he would have to completely lock everything down - like Italy did at first, where people weren't allowed to leave their homes. I understand that it is just Disneyland, but it is more than that. Disneyland is just the point of topic on this website. It is everything that he is looking to close or keep closed. People need to have jobs. Many other states, counties, and cities have been able to come up with plans that allow businesses to function.
