They probably shouldn’t have put it out live on the website thenHe said they are still discussing theme parks and has an afternoon meeting about it.
It’s very upsetting. Just from a mental health stand point. We have been stuck in the house not being able to do a whole lot. Our kids can’t even go outside and play right now because the smoke is so bad. It’s really taking a toll at our house. I feel like this virus isn’t going away anytime soon. Are we all supposed to do nothing until it goes away? We are worried about our jobs too. This is very depressing news.Geez. I am just upset because I can't go on a planned Disney vacation. I can't imagine how all of you people who live in this state feel. Unless you are willing to lock people in their homes and never let them go outside, you are going to have positive cases. Just wow![]()
Please have some respect for all the people in CA for who theme parks are not a “luxury item” but integral to living a life. Eating, shelter, etc as it is livelihood. Theme parks are a big part of our economy.Stop being so dramatic it’s just Disneyland, it’s a luxury not a necessity. We aren’t locked in our homes we can still go outside we just can’t go to theme parks big deal. It is not the end of the world that Disneyland is closed.
Disneyland will open sometime in the future.
Hmmmm....I was slightly hopeful seeing how many things can be open with modifications (like 25% capacity or outdoor access) especially family fun centers, laser tag, etc. But not allowing Disneyland to open until the lowest tier likely means we won't see Disneyland open until the vaccine is out to everyone. But he did just say he has a meeting on theme parks this afternoon and that they have pushed that decision off. SO maybe there is still some hope.
Response to question from media re theme parks:
"We are working with them, discussions are forthcoming, it's a separate conversation. I am meeting with them this afternoon."
They should ask the movie theater industry what to say to the governorThe question is: are we going to get an actual update? Because haven’t they been talking all along anyways? Hopefully they surprise us but I’m not feeling optimistic.
drive in movie theaters have been doing really well latelyThey should ask the movie theater industry what to say to the governor![]()

I predict by then colors will be out and we will be on a county by county emoji system (and theme parks will still be “talking” to the governor)This is quite nerve wracking to watch! I live in PA and I'm not saying that Governors in the Northeast were perfect, but they know how to get to the point!
Here we keep it simple, counties are red, yellow, or green.
I'm mostly just antsy because I want to know if my 11/08 trip is happening.![]()
This! The most important thing right now is to stop the loss of life which is still happening on a daily basis. It sucks that Disneyland is closed, but I would rather the state be smart about reopening than not.I have a feeling that any talks in the past get 're-set' whenever the State revamps it's criteria. So IMO they're probably starting, if not from scratch, then at least 'backed up' a little and will have to revamp and renegotiate.
You know <just musing here, directed at no one>, as unhappy as I am about things I still try to remember that we're dealing with people's lives. If I have to wait until next year to go to DL, it will be worth it if it means one less person becomes ill or God forbid, dies.
It was kinda brought home to us because my son is currently in quarantine because a coworker has tested positive. It's real. It's scary. And I'll do what I can to keep all the people safe that I can.
