All that happened was Security made the spitter leave DSprings. That’s somewhat typical as CMs are dissuaded from pressing battery charges. That is absolutely incredible. What in the world are people thinking? I hope they person is prosecuted.
I got up this morning to find that flights from my end of the state to LGB / SNA were only $39! I booked 2 separate trips with points; figured why not? I can always cancel!I'm booked Southwest, so we're good as long as we travel by next June 22. DEAR HEAVENS LET THIS BE OVER BY NEXT JUNE 22 OR I AM ACTUALLY GOING TO GO FULL-ON BANANAS!
It’s a heck of a sale! I rebooked my November flights to and from Ohio - I was at $450 per person R/T to LAX; this morning I paid $206 R/T to SNA!I got up this morning to find that flights from my end of the state to LGB / SNA were only $39! Awesome! There’s a Southwest sale going on until Thursday. I got ours round trip for $212 per person with the good flight times I wanted. Not bad, considering we are coming from several states away! AND I still have enough left in my 2022-expiring travel funds to pay for a peak-priced ticket and a half, also.I got up this morning to find that flights from my end of the state to LGB / SNA were only $39! Although it is true that there has been no official word yet, I read from some other posts that some of the 3rd party ticket sellers had stated very confidently that on site property guests would have priority. And that would totally make sense. Imagine all the hotel cancellations they will have if they DON'T give priority to those with hotel reservations.Just wait. We don’t know what DLR’s rules will be or if they’ll give any priority to on property guests.
DVC members with DVC reservations who don’t have park tickets are being denied access to reservations at WDW for the first couple phases of park booking so that PR nightmare for DLR with its 1 DVC property will be zilch.Although it is true that there has been no official word yet, I read from some other posts that some of the 3rd party ticket sellers had stated very confidently that on site property guests would have priority. My situation is that I have a DVC rental that I have sunk a bunch of money into. What kind of PR nightmare would that create if they deny a DVC reservation the ability to get into the parks? I cannot cancel and get my money back like you could having a normal hotel room rental. So, I'm captive to what ever they do in regard to on property guests.
I also read this. I read hotel guests and AP holders will have priority. We definitely will have to see how this goes.Although it is true that there has been no official word yet, I read from some other posts that some of the 3rd party ticket sellers had stated very confidently that on site property guests would have priority. Some of us wear the term as a badge of honor....
*it's okay to call someone a nerd if you yourself are also a nerd.. I think.
When it was in Chicago my daugher actually was on stage performing her skit. She was on NBC and CBS being interviewed and in a bunch of papers.@mentos, I was fortunate to see it twice also (once on for in Seattle with my students - 10th row!! - and once in Chicago), but I am SO excited to see the original cast.
Does that include the Good Neighbor hotels for the priority reservations?Although it is true that there has been no official word yet, I read from some other posts that some of the 3rd party ticket sellers had stated very confidently that on site property guests would have priority. At WDW, Good Neighbor hotels were not included, but specific partner hotels were (Swan & Dolphin, Shades of Green, Four Seasons, a few others). I don’t think Disneyland has anything quite like the Walt Disney World partner hotels.Does that include the Good Neighbor hotels for the priority reservations?
Please keep us updated if you hear more news about this!Incidentally, I messaged a friend who’s a DL CM earlier today just to check in. He said that he heard there’ll be a soft-open date for AP-holders. Hopefully that’s true. I know that DW plans to have them.
The AP Blockout Calendar page (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/blockout-dates/) has changed -- Sig+ and SoCal Select no longer say "Not Available for Sale" -- could this mean that IT is working on something again? Or that maybe AP sales/renewals might be opening up again soon?HT: @mentos for noticing this change on the DLR AP Blockout Calendar page yesterday (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/blockout-dates/).
No speculation here, please -- take that to the other thread on the other board -- but this is interesting.

I kind of think that if you have a vacation package booked through the DL website, that the Good Neighbor hotels would be included along with the on-site hotels. I know that for WDW packages, you can book the Swan/Dolphin and a few others directly on the WDW website and that might be why those were included and others were not.At WDW, Good Neighbor hotels were not included, but specific partner hotels were (Swan & Dolphin, Shades of Green, Four Seasons, a few others). There’s no word yet but my assumption is that only the actual on property hotels will be considered on-site hotels at DLR.
How you booked had no bearing on the WDW access. It was all about the hotel you were at. Swan, Dolphin, Shades of Green, and the Four Seasons all sit on Disney property. It is in Disney's interest as their landlord in ensuring their success. Guests who booked Good Neighbor hotels like the Waldorf Astoria Orlando using the Walt Disney Travel Company as their travel agency (e.g. the website or app) still did not have access to the booking system on Monday.I kind of think that if you have a vacation package booked through the DL website, that the Good Neighbor hotels would be included along with the on-site hotels. I could understand that if you booked with anybody other than the DL website, that those reservations might not be included in the first couple of tiers of reserving park passes.
It seems like WDW really favored the people who had vacation packages booked with them and now on to the AP holders. Hopefully the system works better for DL than it did for WDW.
This is very good news because people were posting that the site had crashed again (!) this morning and was down for over an hour. Something about adding "magical enhancements." Uh huh. Let's hope everyone who needs to can get on now and get their issues resolved!View attachment 503795
Haven’t ventured over to the WDW boards today, but I guess Disney has fixed the glitches with the reservation system. I REALLY hope they learn from this and the problems aren’t so substantial when DL opens.
