Looks like Disney is recording a commercial at the parks today!
I agree. I’m not so sure it makes sense to stop park hopping at DL.I hope they’ll do it. It makes a lot of money and is logistically easier in CA than FL. While overall it would mean less reservations available each day it could in the long run ease some of the reservation pressure because people would get more out of the reservation. Instead of an AP needing to come 2 days for both parks, they can do 1 day for all their favorite highlights. They would need longer hours than FL is running but that’s not unusual for DLR and later hours + PH would encourage more spending on dinner and time to browse merch in the evenings.
Wonder what type of commercialLooks like Disney is recording a commercial at the parks today!
Didn’t they JUST hit orange level this week? They have at least another (couple) weeks before they can be moved. It takes 2 full weeks meeting the metrics to move. Or have they been below 4 for awhile. Hard to keep up any more. My county just blew getting out of Purple thanks to an outbreak at one business (20+ people infected)OC is already in "Red" tier and will likely move to "Orange" tier on Tuesday per OC Register.

If hopping is not allowed, to visit both parks I make a DAY 1 reservation for DL and stay for a few hours, and then a DAY 2 reservation for DCA and stay a few hours. So as a local AP, I’d be taking up 2 days of reservations that could have easily been done with just 1 day. That doesn’t seem like a good use of limited capacity.
It’s just not the same as WDW where hopping is among 4 parks and requires transportation.

They didn't add more once the calendar was released, but they have once in the past 5 years removed dates there were originally blocked.Yes, didn't they just do that in 2018 ahead of SWGE opening? They blocked out the entire month of July for Deluxe APs at DL park. Remember that's when they split up the blackout days to be park specific. Plenty of people had already bought their passes when they announced this change.
I didn’t get a chance to call today. Are they open later on West coast time? I can call tonight. I had August booked which they cancelled but I had already had November booked as a place holder. So far this discount is only if you had already booked a room. I wanted to book room for Dec and they said that the discount doesn't apply unless you are rebooking.
I haven’t followed anything historical, but has DL ever added blockout dates after Initially announcing them? Definitely would be some annoyed passholders who bought one pass expecting certain days and then getting that changed.
Is UC-Irvine opening? We have UCSD opening with 15k students on campus. Hopefully they act better than the SDSU kids with 800+ cases that put SD County on the brink of slipping.

I think the OC register is miscounting. My understanding is they have to be in the Orange Tier 2 weeks BEFORE moving. They have been in it 1 week. Tues the 29th will mark the 2nd week, and they can move the following week if maintained. SO they could move on the 6th. I looked at Amador county which met red the week before Orange county and will be able to move to Orange next week.OC is already in "Red" tier and will likely move to "Orange" tier on Tuesday per OC Register.

I don't think it applies only to previous bookings that had to be cancelled, because mine was applied to a Dec reservation I made recently as a contingency plan and not as a rebooking. I had a booking for Sept 22-25 that was cancelled but we had already made other bookings before that happened. I didn't think any of the perks would be transferred after Oct 3 though I did ask if I could still get the $50/day resort credit, but because this was a reservation made separately from the cancelled one, I was told no.Is this for anyone who’s booked? Or those that have had stays cancelled?
