Disneyland raises ticket prices for most types of admission

That’s why we decided to go with the Believe Keys for my family of 4 from Hawaii. We paid $909 for each key. We will make 3 trips with at least 18 total park days which comes out to $50.50 per day with park hopping ability. Hopefully we could add on more park days on short notice which will lower the daily rate. I think it’s a good deal.

We have 5 day hoppers that we were planning to return since we moved our trip to WDW. I was going to return them and use that money to help pay for our WDW trip.

Now, with the price increase, I'm hesitant to do so, but we're also not usually 5 day people. Usually we're 3-4 day people. And we don't actually have a DL trip planned yet, probably will go either summer 2022 or that fall. So while I don't want to pay more, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush and all that.

And so I think Disneyland should do is offer a special deal for Anaheim residents only by letting them go for a special price.

They had one in the summer/late summer (SoCal ticket deal) just before APs were reintroduced.

Except the joke was on you because those tickets were definitely not upgradable to AP when it dropped in late August.

The stock market historically does 10% annual return and most USD stablecoin interest accounts would pay enough.

It wasn't even just a SoCal ticket deal. It was a California resident deal . For me that fact plus the fine print early on that it "couldn't be upgraded" were red flags that some form of AP program was going to be returning soon and likely returning before those tickets expired

I'll be curious if future deals go back to SoCal residents only or if they continue to try to entice all of California residents. I expect those deals to go back to SoCal only, but who knows. The payment plan once upon a time was only for SoCal residents before expanding to all California

Sing it, Brother! From my front door to the portico at the Grand is 438 miles driving distance, straight line distance 392 miles. Someone living 500 miles away gets a ticket, but I don't even though I live closer. Heck, some people in Nevada live even closer than I do! I say draw a 500 mile radius from the Esplanade and offer tickets if you live within that zone.

Oh yeah, I knew about the California Resident ticket (and didn't buy it, because I noticed it couldn't be upgraded).

Somebody upthread had mentioned an Anaheim resident discount and that's what I was asking about, as I'd never heard of that.

I've lived in Anaheim many years and also never heard of that. I assume they're referring to the 'SoCal' general discount Disney used to offer a lot.

Only during the 50th / 2005 did we receive a comp ticket as a 'thank you' for nearby residents, as we live very close to the park. This was back when Matt Ouimet was President of the resort and was really trying to turn things around and improve moral IMO.

They did not, since those were just started in late-August. The price increases (which are already in effect) were for tickets and parking.

Third party sites still retain the old ticket pricing, with varying end dates.
