Does anyone have information on where, or if, the princess(es) will be dinning post-closure of Ariel's Grotto?
I am looking for a dining experience that guarantees the princesses will be there.

I haven't heard either.

My thought is for Disney......
To add a Princess interaction to High Tea at the DLH.
I feel it could work during the grotto closure.

I am following this thread. We are visiting Disneyland for the first time this summer and was hoping to visit the grotto. I’m sad we will miss it. I am hoping something else opens up! We love doing the character meals at WDW!

We are taking the last granddaughter (age 4) in November. All of the others have had breakfast with the princesses and I am just holding my breath they come up with a meal with the princesses before we go. I would think having Rapunzel as the main princess at a Wine Country Trattoria breakfast would work great!

It’s not temporary and it is reopening as part of Pixar Pier. It won’t be Ariel’s Grotto and the concept wont be princess theme anymore. It’s more of a gastropub lounge, with a Pixar-ish theme.

I would highly suggest letting Disney know you want a princess meal. The more they hear what the public wants (wave your wallet to them), hopefully, they will create one.
Yes, Grandfather would much rather pay for an expensive breakfast and be able to sit down and enjoy it all than stand in line for an hour!

My daughter is scared of the characters and so we don’t do the traditional character meals but she would love a princess one. Her favorite thing is to meet the princesses. I’m bummed we didn’t make if before Ariel’s closed.

FWIW I took my Princess lover to Ariel’s and it wasn’t very impressive. In fact we never went back. We’ve had much better princess experiences at the Princess Pavillion. If it’s a priority just make sure to visit a couple of times and you can probably meet all your favorites. It’s been pretty quick really most of the time.

Ariel's has been closed for a while and still no Princess dining anywhere in the resort.

I love the idea of adding princesses to the high tea at DLH! Even though my princesses are now 12 and 10, we love the tea and would be tickled to be joined by THE Disney princesses. :)

I agree with this. I’m very bummed they don’t have a replacement princess meal. Especially because so many visitors would gladly pay for it.

BUT our experience at Ariel’s left something to be desired. The princesses seemed to have low enthusiasm and moved on at a swift clip.

It’s interesting because our daughter (4.5) is a princess girl but she hardly remembers lunch at Ariel’s 1.5 years ago. She loved the interactions she’s had with random fuzzy characters at Plaza Inn.

If they bring back a princess meal, which I hope they do, it would be smart to make some adjustments.

I'm so sad about this even though I didn't think the food was that great - Seeing my daughter light up when she saw the princesses and got to meet them was worth every penny IMO.
