Are there any discounts for DVC members paying cash for Disneyland resort stays?

We are planning to go next year in April. (Is the weather okay then?) We are combing a trip the the desert with Disneyland. The Disney website does not allow for quotes in 2009 yet. How long before you can online? :surfweb:

Also, are there any links to maps of the parks in CA?

DL rates for 2009 "should" be released sometime in August.

Not sure on the discount for the hotels, but there's a DLR version of Portable Perks with dining, shopping and entertainment discounts just like at WDW.

There are interactive maps on the DL website.

Alas, there are no hotel discounts in Disneyland for DVC members. Nor are they any discounts for dining, annual passes, etc. Maybe with the GCV opening up there next year they will start offering DVC member discounts in the future.

Correct that there are no discounts on hotels but there are dining and AP pass discounts. AP's for DVC members are the same price as a renewal - I believe it's $20 off. There are numerous dining discounts. I was just there the end of May and used it most every place I ate. There are also some shopping discounts at many of the places in Downtown Disney.

I also think that points for the hotels are not necessarily a bad deal either and they do not have the $95 booking fee.

I looked at this info before going and I think there is a section in the DVC members website that will give you more specific detail.

Have fun! :goodvibes

Thanks, kat4disney. You are very much right!

I found the AP info in the DVC member site on page 7 of the member benefits guide:

http://advc.disney.go.com/media/dvc_v0302/languagespecific/eng/member/justformembers/memberbenefitsguide/memberbenefitsguide_021408.pdf

I also found this in the Member Perks section:

"Enjoy Member discounts on new Deluxe and Premium Annual Passports. Or receive 10% savings at many of the exceptional eateries at Disneyland Park, Disney's California Adventure® Park, and the Downtown Disney® District. Members also receive 10% off hundreds of items at the one-of-a-kind shops of the Downtown Disney District!"

Thanks for looking up the link! One thing I recommend is to have your portable perks guide with you all the time. I was given one at check in. I did have a problem getting the discount at the lounge at the GC. The waiter asked the manager who said they didn't do it. He should have just asked the bartenders - they all knew! :lmao: Of course it was the one time I didn't have the guide with me.

Hi kat4disney,

Actually, I'm returning to DL for the 1st time since becoming a DVC member in 2006 (my last visit to DL was 2005, for all the 50th stuff at Christmas) - and my trip there is planned strategically for late October (in hopes that the hints I've been hearing about the GCV are true, sales beginning October this year).

I will certainly try out all the DVC discounts available to me, esp. on the dining as there's no DP for DL. :mickeybar

Thanks again for your help!

And I based my May trip on the Member event with incentives and tours of the models! :thumbsup2

Have a terrific trip and I'm hoping that they do start the sales!
