Disneyland Park TRIVIA

THESE QUESTIONS HAVEN'T BEEN ANSWERED YET:

What was the inspiration for audio-animatronics? (toocherie)

What year is Main Street based on? **Bonus points if you know why!** (DisneyLover4Ever!)

Where in POTC can you find the pirate that is Walt? (dizneekrazee)

What is the average depth of The Rivers of America and where is it's deepest spot (what is the exact name of the spot)? (DoomBugger)
Fowler's Harbor is up to 12 feet deep

My answer about the inspiration for audio animatronics is that WD wanted to have interactive ravens in his restaurant. The restaurant didn't happen, but we have the Tiki Room instead.

I had answered this, but never found out if it was correct:

Hmm, not sure if this is the answer, but early 1900's based on where Walt grew up, Marceline, MO.

What was POTC going to originally be? (DisneyLover4Ever!)

Wasn't it going to be a walk through, as was the Haunted Mansion?

Your first answer is pretty much right. Main Street was based on the year 1910. :thumbsup2

Your second answer is right also. POTC was originally going to be a walk-through wax museum. :thumbsup2 pirate:

Good Job!
*Bonus Points* are still available if you can answer why Main Street was based on the year 1910.

That was the year they left Marceline?

Oh! After much googling, I found this, "Main Street USA is supposedly set in 1910. Tomorrowland was originally set in 1986. These years were picked because they were the years of Halley's Comet appearances."
