Disneyland Park TRIVIA

Was it Steve Martin who worked at Disneyland? I think I read somewhere that he worked in a magic shop??? pixiedust:

And was it Roy form the Mickey Mouse Club who thought of the Mickey Mouse ears hat? :earsboy: :earsgirl:

You and DangerMouse are correct about Steve Martin

And you are correct about the mickey ears. From the Neal Gabler book "It was Roy Williams who, recalling a scene from an old Mickey Mouse cartoon in which Mickey tips his skull to Minnie, ears an all, as if it were a hat, came up with the idea of a black mouse ears cap that all the performers on the show would wear."

And Splash is not the fastest ride.... I guess I should give a hint...what ride COULD be the fastest ride if they wanted it to be.... :scared1:

That was the year they left Marceline?

Oh! After much googling, I found this, "Main Street USA is supposedly set in 1910. Tomorrowland was originally set in 1986. These years were picked because they were the years of Halley's Comet appearances."

Exactly!!!! Great Job stacielee!

Ding Ding Ding. The monorail can go 70mph.... but can you even imagine if they did actually take it up to that speed?

So here are the only remaining trivia questions I asked that remain unanswered:

How many of the original trees planted at the Disneyland hotel still remain today?

We know he went with Burbank, but what other location did Walt Disney consider when moving the studios from Hyperion?

What exhibit was added to DL the day before it opened? (meaning LAST MINUTE)

Ok I got some...some easy...some maybe not so easy!

What famous celebrity once worked at DL, and where did she/he work?

There is another besides Steve Martin. Kevin Costner used to be a skipper on the JC.

Heres another question related to a question already answered:

HM was originally going to be a walk-thru attraction, as was POTC. What "land" was the "path" that was going to lead to HM going to begin?

Here is my next 2-part question:

When was the Disneyland time capsule buried?
When will it be re-opened?

Here is my next 2-part question:

When was the Disneyland time capsule buried?
When will it be re-opened?

It was buried for Disneyland's 40th Birthday (I was there!), and will be reopened 40 years later, so 1995 + 40 = 2035

Another question:

What is special about the Tom Sawyer Island (Pirates Lair) rafts?

They don't run on tracks & are used for Fantasmic.

Here's a question.

We are used to seeing Tinkerbell fly down from the Matterhorn, but one time someone else came down from the Matterhorn. Who was it, and what was the occasion?

Only one tree, but I couldn't find where it is.

You are correct...and I have no idea where it is either! hehe

You guy's were good with my trivia! Wow. The last one unanswered:

We know he went with Burbank, but what other location did Walt Disney consider when moving the studios from Hyperion?

(hint....a very large university is right next door to it!)
