Been reading about 20th anniversary currently known and rumored
New “Magical, Immersive” Nighttime Spectacular
• Magician Mickey meet ‘n’ greet
• Princess Pavilion meet ‘n’ greet
• Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade completely refreshed
• World of Disney store

what are the chances these will be open a little earlier say March :thumbsup2

The Princess Pavillion is open now, isn't it?

If you go right at the very end of March (ie last weekend) you might see the new stuff, as traditionally thats when they reveal the new year's entertainment/theme etc to the Press.

Mickey will presumably just be changing costume and doing his regular meet n greet in Town Square, the night parade is Fantillusion, from what I understand, with possibly a couple of changes. The OUAD is a slight change of music and the addition of some fairies/extra characters on some of the floats.

If the World of Disney store is supposed to be completed by early April (I don't know if it is) then I'd suspect this has a good chance of being open earlier.

I love DLP in an anniversary year :goodvibes.

When the DIS Unplugged team did an Adventures by Disney tour at DLP there was word that there would be a smaller scale World Of Colour (from California Adventure) in front of the castle :)

:goodvibes

Oh really wow that would be amazing!

I really just want to see the parade! I hope something is refreshed as it has been the same since the 15th anniversary hasnt it?!?!?

The Princess Pavilion is open.

If we were to get Magician Mickey, I'd imagine it'd be indoor with a special set like it is in Florida. I think it'd be a great addition to the resort.

They really should replace Fantillusion. It's a decent parade but it's seen its day. I must have seen it at least 20 times and I'd like to see something new. I'm fed up of them doing things on the cheap and updating a parade, we deserve new ones!

The most promising rumour about the 20th celebrations is the water show that's being speculated. I've read on other forums that Disney are considering installing a magic fountain (like the one in Barcelona) to replace the hub stage. That would certainly get my vote!

On the whole, I expected more for the big birthday. Hopefully Disney have managed to keep lots of stuff a secret!

OUAD has been running since 2007 (15th anniversary)

Fantillusion has been running since 2003.

We're well overdue a new parade!

We always go out of season and think I have only ever seen Fantillusion twice and doubt we will see it for a long time yet but the parade I would love to see a change x

Me too, that's why we've arranged our summer holiday next year to allow for a few days at DLP. We were originally planning on going to Carcassonne but I couldn't resist the anniversary year so it's going to be Paris/DLP :yay: :yay: :yay: ..... and Carcassonne will have to wait until another year. :goodvibes

oh I hope so we are going to miss the anniversary by three weeks :( I will need to go twice next year then oh well cant complain lol!

Inside sources have confirmed to me, Fantillusion every night with the park staying open till 10. The new night time show is called Dreams and will be a fountain and light show.

The Once Upon a Dream parade will stay except 2 floats will be totally refreshed.

The park will be staying open until 10pm in the off season? That would be fantastic!

Is the fountain show instead of fireworks? Does it include fireworks or will there be 2 separate shows?

Disappointed that they're not replacing Fantillusion.

I'm not sure if the fireworks will be replaced for the fountain show or not. I will try and find out.

And from what I have been told the park will be open till 10 every night even in off season. This could change but this is what I have been told so far.

That really would be excellent. I visited in May and it felt strange leaving the park at 7pm. It was still daylight and it felt like the park should be open for at least another few hours. There were plenty of people about so it seemed really stupid to close it.

The most promising rumour about the 20th celebrations is the water show that's being speculated.

Rumor has it that Magician Mickey is set to replace Winnie the Pooh and Friends, Too at the Fantasy Festival Stage theatre.

Water jets were being tested in the lake infront of the castle in the summer. I have heared a rumor that a lazer, water and light show will be replacing the fireworks over the next few years. As in the long run they will be cheaper to run and there will be less noise without the fireworks to annoy the local residents.

If this is the case maybe they will run it every night and not just in the summer season.

I saw pictures of some of the jets in the moat. There doesn't seem enough room there to put on a decent show. Whilst I like the idea of a show that could be done in the off-season, I think it would be silly to get rid of the fireworks.

I'd love to see something like World of Colour but I just can't see it happening due to space and more importantly - costs.

I suppose we should just be happy that it looks like they're going to remove the hub stage.

It would be great if they opened until 10pm off season. We only have two days in May so we'd get loads done. Looking forward to seeing all the 20th anniversary changes :cool1:

Could later hours actually mean dinner in the park too? That would be very nice.
