Hi All,

We recently stayed at this hotel for the first time Sept 24th - 26th and I have to say I couldn't have been more pleased. The room was really clean, the bed and pillows were as comfortable as that on Disney's Dream cruise. The walk wasn't bad at all and we loved the perk of getting in the parks an hour early which I must say, payed off. Especially the day we did CA when we hit Cars Land first (glad we did). We were in room 442 which looked out over the park to our surprise and we were happy about that. I hope to write more later on our day at DL and CA but in regards to Paradise Pier.....completely satisfied!

We've stayed there since before it was the PPH, never had a bad stay!

We're DVC members so we try to stay at the Grands villas when we can, but the Pier is our backup!

YAY! We're staying there in a couple of months for the first time, so I'm happy to hear a positive review.

Thank you so much for posting this review. We'll be staying there for the first time in a couple of weeks, and have read mostly good...but some *meh* opinions of Paradise Pier. You've helped to put my mind at ease :)

We love it too. I actually prefer it to Grand Californian where the room seems so small and dark.

I love the Grand Californian, but the rooms are actually smaller and darker than rooms in both Paradise Pier and Disneyland Hotel.

I loved Paradise Pier when I stayed there. I don't understand the negative reviews and when people say it doesn't feel like a Disney hotel. It very much feels like a Disney hotel to me.

We are DVC members also and I am having the dilemma of booking PPH or paying cash at Hojo and save oping to stay at VGC at a later date?

We state the same week and I agree 100% Loved that hotel and I think it will be our first choice unless gch has absurd deals again.

We stayed there a couple of years ago. It was great. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean & comfortable. The walk to DD was easy. We had the character breakfast at PCH Grill and it was magical. My sister and niece still talk about it!

We stayed from the 29th to the 3rd and would do it again in a heartbeat. The room was spacious for a standard hotel room, and with two teenagers I loved having the extra daybed for one of them to sleep on. We used the fridge for milk (breakfast) and lunch stuff. I normally don't sleep well in hotels, but the mattress and pillows were beyond comfortable. My kids loved the pool area and spent a lot of time there. The hotel staff was very friendly, as was the restaurant staff (we ate there twice). I think we'll be staying at the PPH from now on!

We came back Thursday from our stay at PPH. I feel like it is always worth it to pay extra to receive Disney benefits, specially with the EMH for CA. :thumbsup2

The pool area surroundings are going through some construction, I wonder what they have in store :confused3

I've stayed there 3 times in theme park view and really loved it. Here's the view from our room from last week:

It's a little farther walk than GCH but if you are looking to save money and be guaranteed a great view, it's worth it.

I will echo many of the other posters that we have stayed there several times and have loved every one. it is effectively a few minutes farther walk than GCH, but the savings are substantial and the views, if lucky enough to be park side are spectacular.

In fact, we just booked it again for our upcoming Holidays trip at the end of December, see you there :)

Loving these good reviews. We love the GCH but the dollars didn't stretch that far for our visit next month.

I agree with everyone who says they love the PPH, its one of my fav hotels in the area! I've been on a TA tour of the other hotels, and although they were very nice, I would still stay at the PPH for the savings, and frankly, the rooms are roomy, bright & I love all the extra little touches like free balloons in rooms (by request) & little extras like the candies on your pillow at night! ;) I've had nothing but good experiences there! I highly recommend it! I've also stayed in concierge a couple of times, and if you can afford it, do it! Nice to have breakfast & evening goodies & drinks! ;)

Have first trip to DLR (many already to WDW) planned for March 2013. Staying at PP so glad to hear such great things. Thanks fellow Disney lovers

We have stayed at both the PPH and GCH. I will say that in our opinion, we feel the PPH is the better deal for you money. GCH is not necessarily closer to the parks depending on the room you are in. At GCH we were just a few feet from the stairs which came out into the courtyard just a few feet from the exit out into DTD so going to the parks was quick. However, going back to our room at the end of a long day was a different story. It was quite a walk by the time you got to the elevators and then wound your way around. DH and I both agreed that the walk to PPH was probably about the same distance when we were going back to our room.

We also had a great experience at PPH back in May. DW, DD, and myself all loved it very much. Seeing DCA from our room and the CL mountains as well was amazing. We turned on the TV to the WOC soundtrack and watched from our room and had a blast. I thought it would be a little more of a walk then it was too so we were pleasantly surprised to see how short a walk it was (with cutting through the GCH). I highly recommend staying there if you have the money. Unfortunately we wont be able to stay there on our upcoming trip but at least we get to go to DL.

We were there at the same time! actually we stayed 2 weeks, between 20th September and 3rd October. We loved it too, and now after having stayed at all 3 Disney hotels, I'd go back to Paradise Pier over DLH or GCH. Even with 5 of us in the room for 2 weeks we never felt crowded, I think the extra space for the sofa bed and the light bright decor helped. The walk was shorter than from DLH too. We went concierge and had a theme park view on the 15th floor, the view was fantastic.
