So we are going for our 10th wedding anniversary in October and are wondering about the Halloween party.

There is an extra charge for it. Do they "kick out" those who have not paid for the Halloween party? I know there are limited tickets on sale and with Halloween being on a Saturday this year we are wondering if we want to do this but how it would work?
When else would our kids (8 and 6) be able to trick or treat at DL?

Thanks for any hints or tips.

Kat

I know at Walt Disney World, you do need to leave at 7pm if you have not paid for a MNSSHP ticket.

Here is a link to Disneyland's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party info from the Disney site:

Since this is the WDW side of the disboards, you may get better info posting on the Disneyland boards.

I have been to the one at WDW, but I'm not sure if things are the same as DL, so maybe someone else who has been to DL might come along to help you.

I'm not sure what the significance of it being Saturday is for you, but whether you intended DL or WDW, there are multiple dates. You can go to the Disney Halloween party on a night other than 10/31.

We did DL's Halloween party in 2013. It was very crowded, we did a Friday night party and we only rode 2 rides the whole party because the lines were so long. The lines for trick or treating were very long too. If you can choose a non weekend party I would recommend it. I would think that Halloween night will be packed with locals.

Everything you could possibly want to know about Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland will be in this Halloween superthread. :) There is general info about this year's parties as it is announced in the first few posts. There is a lively ongoing discussion so feel free to ask any questions you might have:

As far as your specific questions about Disneyland's MHP, anyone without a MHP wristband will not be able to stay for the party activities. Castmembers will stand at the entrance to the lands and direct those without the wristband towards the park exit.

The party specific activity areas can get crowded (e.g. fireworks, trick or treat, meet and greets). This year DL will be doing the Halloween Screams fireworks, but the new Paint the Night parade is replacing the cute Halloween Cavalcade so expect the parade route to also be crowded.

Thanks all. It will be our last night in CA just thought being there on actual Halloween would be awesome but most likely super crowded. Once in a lifetime opportunity though. Thanks for the link I am brand new to this site and didn't know what a superthread was. Lol.
