Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

It's a good thing to have a regular DR to call. Loren has a DR's appointment in June for the mass on his calf.

We are lucky to have Primary Children's so close to us. Poor thing has an Endo and a Neuro. :guilty:

Mass on his calf? Is this new?

You are lucky. But, poor Chloe, that is hard.

No, it's a tumor. They took an xray and declared it was benign and said that we could have a second opinion from an orthopedic DR and I opted for that. I do not understand knowing from an xray that a tumor is benign.

 I am sorry.

Don't you hate waiting for appts?

What makes it worse is he originally had it scheduled for this week coming up but, he asked that I reschedule because he has a performance with his school jazz band and he doesn't want to let them down. They are performing for the retired teachers association.

I don't know if your are familiar with Kaiser but, it seems to be hurry up and wait all the time.

:headache: I am very familiar with Kaiser. My father is still in So Cal and suffered a major stroke almost 4 years ago. I cannot explain to you what fun I had trying to get him covered medical care while getting a straight story at the same time. Hate Kaiser.

I wish him all the best. He sounds like a terrific and loyal kid! :goodvibes

Poor little Chloe had 2 seizures yesterday which is rare so I am going to let her sleep in and miss religious school. We have a BBQ with the synagogue after school but is going to wait to see how she is doing.

So sorry to hear about Chloe but glad that she is doing better!

We have had excellent care from Kaiser, my surgeon saved my life in 2007. My husband was told to bring our kids in to say goodbye. If it weren't for the care that I received I would not be here. But, on that other hand following my surgery I had a stroke in ICU, the nurse didn't say anything until the next day that she had noticed the change in me. So as an addition to being sick as a dog I was then left paralyzed on my right side. I woke up after 24 days to have a tracheotomy and my right arm and hand paralyzed. Not to leave out that I had to learn to walk again. Medically they totally rocked. They sent me to a Kaiser owned nursing home in San Leandro, near San Francisco and I was only able to see my DH and my kids on days off. I learned to walk again there and I recovered the use of my hand. I eventually recovered completely thanks to my wonderful DR. Northern California Kaiser is one of the best HMO's in the country according to Times magazine. Southern California Kaiser is not as good I don't understand why they are different.

Thank you. She was dx with Benign Rolandic Epilepsy about a year ago. 100% of kids grow out of it at about age 14 y/o so that's hopeful.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend. :goodvibes

So I talked to my best friend who was going to meet us in Disneyland on 6/13 but when she found out there would be not just 1 but 2 other familes with a total of 8 kids, she said no way. :rotfl2: That is so her and I love her for it so now I think we are going to meet her for dinner on 6/12 after we get there. She might have to come to DTD but I think she'll live.

Holy Hannah! Miracles a plenty! You are quite lucky lady.

So Cal Kaiser is just as bad as Nor Cal Kaiser is good it seems. Placing my father was horrific.

The only complaint I had was getting stuck in San Leandro, it was a scary place for a person who was stuck in bed. My DH was told I probably wouldn't live, then he was told that I probably would never walk, then it was I would always need the walker, then it became you will always need the cane. And then I started hiding the cane.:rotfl: I walk now, and my arm recovery was a miracle to me, I left the hospital not having the use of the arm and within four months I had myself using it again. When I came back to rehab at our local Kaiser we were out in the hospital while the family was visiting I ran into this smiling DR and I thought he was a lunatic. Scotty told me that it was my ICU DR, who thought I was going to die.

I am a miracle walking and I know it. This trip is my victory lap.

The bold is mine and this is beautiful. Inspirational. :goodvibes

I am so excited. Four weeks from right now we will be in Disneyland!!:woohoo:

I know!!!!!

I am pretty much all planned but still haven't decided on where to stay the first night. HoJo relased more June dates but nothing after the WoC begins. I am not surprised. I am reading about massive crowds expected but hotels still seem to have availability. :confused3 I wish Ridemax was up so I could start getting into the nitty gritty.

I know. I looked on Disneyland's website at the AP rates and availability at the hotel's and the DLH and GCH both have rooms available with AP rates all week. Now, that is a sign to me that it isn't that crowded. Usually they are full by now.

Does the PPH have availability? I am booked there 6/18 unless my wait-list comes through which btw, I have little hope for. That darn GCV should have built more villas!

I think we might luck out as school only gets out the week before so maybe people are planning for late late June. :wizard:

There is availability on the 18 and the 19. And in the past AP rates fill the fastest because they only hold back a certain amount of rooms for that. We may get real lucky.
