Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

That's funny. We don't have one here in town. We have to go out of town to enjoy it.

:rotfl2: We all want what we don't have, right?! I can truly say no to any and all fast food except for In n Out and Jack! DH told me though that In n Out bought ground about 6 miles from our home. :faint: Methinks I may find some of my lost 35 lb.

To drive is to snack ... love it! I am a huge Jack in the Box fan! Especially their milkshakes with whipped cream and a cherry and love those curly seasoned fries!

:woohoo: Their curly fries rock!!! Whenever we get to a Jack I always get mega packs of their Secret Sauce so when we go to McDonald's here we order our burgers plain and then use the Jack sauce. :thumbsup2

I really don't know what to think about Ariel's and WOC because the CM I spoke with when I called back told me that they aren't doing seating for dinner because... the view from the Grotto is not great and that the powers that be don't want the lights from the restaurant to interfere with the show. So I just don't know what to think. :confused3

:confused3 I hear ya. if you are set on AG with Princesses, go for lunch. Same food and a little cheaper. I cannot wait to find out the WoC details!!! :hyper:

I was wondering if there were any rides you wouldn't take a five year old with sensory issues on? My friend was telling me Tower of Tower probably should be skipped? What do you think? Are there any others...oh she is 43 1/2 inches so she is able to ride height wise everything but Maliboomer, Indy and can't drive the cars at autotopia.

Like seizures sensory issues? My middle DD has Benign Rolandic Epilepsy, along with and unrelated to her IGF1, and she rides everything. Maliboomer is gone I believe. She can still ride in the Autopia cars though. :thumbsup2 Indy is the only bummer- it is a fantastic ride. Last October was the first time my whole family could ride it. :cloud9: I think she will be fine on the rides.

From everything I've read smaller kids will be able to ride with a parent on the SS swings. I haven't been since I was twelve and DCA wasn't there. I know it's going to be crowded but I figure if we go early to get on the rides and then do the shows late morning/early afternoon then have a nice lunch before we go and have a break we should fair pretty well.

That is a good plan. The locals don't show til lunchtime so the morning hours are prime. Ya know, I don't know that we have ever been on the Swings in DCA.

Drama Queen went to our county fair over the weekend and told me "Mom, I am not and I mean not an adrenalin junkie!" :rotfl: I just couldn't help but laugh.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! TIA ;)

Kris

:lmao: Too cute!!!! Gosh they are funny.

pixiedust: DH caved and agreed to the PPH for our last night if the HoJo Ent rate doesn't come through. After looking at the map that has been posted a ton today, the Anaheim Marriott Suites is just too dang far for that last late late night in the parks.

Woohoo!! That is nice.

::yes:: I will still hold out for the Ent Rate though at the HoJo. They added some May dates on Monday. :hyper: The AP rate for the PPH is $200 including taxes- not great but not horrible either.

:smickey: 45 days!!!! :smickey:

No have seen far worse rates. I am so obsessive I look at the AO rates all the time.

I check daily if not more. DH says I am obsessed- oh well, saves him some money. Have you ever found a great drop in the rates by checking often?

June 10 hours are out. June 10 is a Thursday but there is no MM that day and it must be a grad night because the hours are reduced. At least we get a little insight into what grad night/non-blocked So Cal AP days look like.

I am obsessed, I admit it.:rotfl:

I need to go look at the hours. I feel like they are toruring us by releasing one day at a time.

It is driving me nuts and I know it shouldn't. I am also anxious for Ridemax to get current. They are still in late May. :rolleyes1

That would really tick me off about Ridemax. I hope they get that current.

They will they just lag a little for us Type Aers. ;) I just like to make a bazillion itineraries with staggering arrival times. One year I shrunk and laminated them just to mortify my family. It worked.

I've been enjoying your pre trip report and noticed your name sounded familiar and then i remembered that I have read one of your trip reports on mouseplanet before. I loved that one as well and am looking forward to this one!

I think that my DH would be more mortified than our kids.:rotfl: He already thinks I am a nut bag.

:goodvibes :welcome: Your name looks familiar. I noticed your location. We have very good friends from Regina.

:lmao: My DH just laughs at me now. He still makes mad mad fun of me, always saying *you posting on the DIIIIIIS* in this this ridiculous valley girl accent but I don't care. I provide with him with amazing trips so he can suck it up. :rotfl: He loves Disney too, enough to buy DVC. I say, if I converted my muggle, anyone can!

Now I am the Dis-fanatic, but he is the one that wanted to join Ridemax. :rolleyes1

:lmao: That's how it starts! Nurture his inner Disney-geek. It's just screaming to get out!

DH really didn't like Disneyland growing up- he was more of a Magic Mountain kinda guy but once we had kids it started to grow on him. One day he called me from the fire dept asking questions about DVC because he was trying to explain to one of his guys. :faint: I shed a tiny tear. :lovestruc

One day we were in Costco and he said to me, "why don't you figure out what it is going to cost for us to go to Disneyland?" I was ready to cry. :rotfl: He knows how much I love the place, but next year he gets to plan the vacation, I am afraid of what it is going to be and I am afraid it is going to involve bicycles.

Still trying to convert my muggle hubby!! He does appreciate that I now know how to minimize wait times and I know he is going to love the VGC!!! Now if I can just convince our friends to do a dinner a Napa Rose, I might get him hooked!!

:scared: Bicylces? :lmao: Have fun with that. I have been putting off The Big Tree Tour for over 3 years now. DH is dying to go to Yosemite and the Redwoods. ;) Camping does nothing for me.

I saw this a little while ago and I thought it might interest you in this as much as I was.

 Love it- thanks! Now if we could get just a little more detail......
