Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

Do you know some of the choices? I think there is a Cheesecake Factory. I am all about NOT eating anywhere that I can eat locally here. We have a CF about an hour from me but haven't been to it. Been to the one Vegas and AZ.

There is a Bubba Gumps and a California Pizza Kitchen. There are a lot of places.

:worship: :thanks: We might have to copy you and head over on one of the grad nights. My muggle-turned-commando-Disney-park-dude hubby hates to even break during the day let alone leave early. :rotfl2:

I tend to want to commando, my mom hates it. I warned her the other day that I plan on doing it again this trip. She likes to nap to during the day. With the shorter hours I am not even thinking about it.

I am more commando on paper. I don't budge though on arriving early. My motto: you can sleep at home and on the car ride home! Really. Once lunch hits, I am much more flexible. I really want to get some down time at the GCV too.

Good point. I am staunch on the morning too. And with the short hours we will be sleeping earlier.:rotfl: I crack myself up. If we were staying at the DLH like we normally do I would be more relaxed, but I don't think that Stovall's is quite the same.

How far is Stovall's? Why there instead of the DLH?

Stovall's is nearly a mile but that isn't that big of a deal. I just think that I like the DLH much more. Our friends we are going with cannot afford it. When I go by myself next year I think I am going to treat myself to stay onsite. Normally alone I will stay cheaper but, my DH actually suggested that I take advantage of AP rates when I go alone.

That's good that you are all staying togther. It makes it easier for coordination. Then they'll be close so you can commando them to the parks early.

I don't do Disney alone  but the DLH sounds heavenly for a solo trip. :goodvibes I think you should take DH's advice. :thumbsup2

YEAH FOR 50 DAYS! YEAH FOR EXTRA DAYS!

Looks like we are a week behind you. Hey I have a PTR if you want to take a look Goofy with Peter Pan syndrome ... is mine and it looks like you have already popped in :thumbsup2. Any advice you can give would be great as I haven't been since I was 12.

I was going to go on the Diva's trip but, I have decided that I am going to go with my BFF, so I won't be alone. I so could go alone though, think about it. You can get up in the morning, not have anyone to slow you down. Then when you want to look around there is no one to rush you around. Think of all of the options.

:mickeyjum 50 days!!!! :mickeyjum

6/4 hours are up now. :surfweb: :hyper: This is torture!

Oh wow. I am going to go visit.

I went alone thinking those same things after reading what terrific times people were having. Didn't turn out that way for me. At all. I know I am in the minority but it made me painfully sad. Everyone is different and for me, part of the joy is sharing Disneyland with my family. DH was never a Disney fan. I think he went twice as a child- he grew up in Nor Cal. I grew up in So Cal about 10-15 minutes away and my father would take me weekly, if not more as a child. Disneyland holds almost all of my childhood memories. pixiedust:

Having said that, I went to So Cal this past March to visit my dearest friend who has suffered some unimaginable losses. I also decided to visit my father who suffered a major stroke almost 4 years ago. After seeing him, I headed straight to Disneyland, alone, for a few hours. I cried my eyes our while strolling on Main St. I must have looked like a total mess but it was very cathartic for me. :goodvibes I had a Dole Float, rode IAWS and POTC, and did some shopping. Best therapy ever. ;)

I probably won't like Disneyland without my family either but, In think for various reasons I need that trip too. My BFF and I have always been like sisters, so it is like going with family.

Oh for sure. My BFF is the closet thing I have to a sister. :goodvibes I meant alone, alone.

Just got bumped via voice mail from our 7:40 PS at AG on 6/13. The CM said "our Princesses would not be available for dining at this time" and I was rescheduled for 2:40. I was given a CM's direct line to call back, spoke with him, and when asked why we were bumped and the Princesses would be unavailable I was told: that the World of Color show is interfering with dinner and the latest seating is 3:40 pm. I guess we won't be doing dinner there.

 :rotfl2:

Darn no time we the Princesses. I guess they must have hot dates with their Princes.
