Disneyland info Please...first time there

Hi,
We are doing our first trip to Disneyland. I have been many times to Disneyworld.

We are only doing 1 day so I was planning on doing both parks. Would you suggest the MaxPass since it is only $10 per ticket? Also, am I able to see what fast passes are still available for the day before I purchase it.

I'm sure these questions have been answered before I just don't know where to look!
We are going to be there July 30th...so pretty soon!

If you are only going one day and want to do both parks, I think MaxPass is almost a necessity.

Buy it with your tickets. You can’t reserve any FPs in advance it’s all day off after you have entered the park for the first time that day.

FP are not distributed early. If you buy MP with your ticket, it will activate once you scan into the parks. If your ticket does not already come with MP then you will need to scan into the park that day then buy it. There is no early reservations - only the day of. I highly recommend MP.

Oh thanks! That's awesome! I'm used to Disney World where all the good fast passes are gone months before...unless they have also changed that. It's been a couple years.

Please don't think DLR is the World, not even close and virtually nothing is the same. Smaller, easier, much more relaxing and you don't have to waste time getting somewhere. We didn't care for most of the World, but there are things like Everest and AKL that are spectacular. And 1 day, you miss alot. Have fun.
