I'm hoping to book a September trip. When do you feel is the best time to visit - the beginning, the middle or the end? Also, when are kids typically back in school???

TIA! :)

Last year I went on the week of September 14-18th and a lot of rides had NO WAITS and the longest wait was 45 min for splash mountain in the afternoon because it was really hot (most of them were 10-15 min). On the bad side space mountain and haunted mansion were closed because of the holiday overlay.

Most California schools go back at the end of August. I would imagine that Labor Day weekend (Sept 4-6) would be crowded. Other than that, I think it would be a good time to go if you don't mind some big rides down for the holiday overlay.

Halloween Time season officially kicks off on September 17th this year, so if seeing the Halloween decorations and riding Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy sound fun to you I would go on/afterthe 17th. I don't think September should be super busy. I would avoid Labor Day weekend. The first weekend of Halloween Time season may be a little more crowded as well, but I'm hoping for mellow crowds when we go. We'll be there the 15-19th.
