Disneyland Hotel room requests? What's the best way to get the tower I want?

Thanks for all of the replies, but I'm still wondering about how I should go about requesting a tower! Do you think it even matters if I'm going after Labor Day? Anyways, I think I've heard that they "assign" rooms 5 days out, is this something that is accurate? Even if I request when booking, should I call on the 6th day to confirm again? And if that's true, is there no benefit to arriving earlier on check in day? I was planning on arriving around noon but I could push everything up if necessary.
My main question is whether or not the Adventure tower is what I'll get if I pay for an "upper level resort view" room From the Disney home site discription of the Upper Level Resort View: Enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of the Disneyland® Resort or watch all of the fun and enchantment of the Monorail Pool as you relax in the comfort of your room at the magical Disneyland® Hotel.

Really vague...more than likley the rooms are on the upper floors, any tower. You can request the Adventure Tower but as all things Disney there is no quarantees...but it doesn't cost anything to request what you want...so request away. When I book I make my request, when I talk with guest services, I again make sure my request is noted. And I call about 5 days before we arrive. Most of the time we arrive in the afternoon to check-in, I don't know if checking in early makes a difference. Almost everytime we have gotten what we requested. Now, if you check-in and you are truly unhappy with your room, go back to the front desk and see if they can move you.

Thanks!

And yeah, I saw that "unforgettable panoramic views" mention and I thought that it was a mighty big choice of words! I feel like it could wind up being quite disappointing in some cases.

We are a family of 5 staying at the DLH for 6 nights this month. We haven't stayed there since we were a family of 4, so I'm a little worried about the room we get (more specifically the bathroom). We should be getting the daybed since we are 5 in the room, what I would really like is a double vanity and a separate room with a door for the toilet. We have a deluxe room reserved and I really don't care which tower we stay in, but does anyone know the best way to get the bathroom set up I want? I've stayed at the DLH 3 times before and all 3 times had different bathroom layouts. I know it sounds weird to be stressing over the bathroom, but with 3 DD's that take forever to get ready and my DH who spends his share of time in the bathroom it would work out so much better for us to get the double vanity and separate toilet area.

We had this exact set up in our room. We were in the Adventure Tower, room 2342. Pool view on the 5th floor, a few rooms down from the elevator. My only complaint about this room (and perhaps all) is the lack of storage space. The "dresser" has 3 small drawers, and then a single drawer in the nightstand. Since we are a family of 5, we basically had to live out of our suitcase, which was kind of a pain.

Thank you so much! Do you know if 5th floor is considered lower level or upper level? I think we have LL pool view (deluxe), also, do you know if storage is an issue in all the new rooms or was this one different?
Thank you so much....you have given me hope. :thumbsup2

We paid for a view, but not the park view? I am not sure of all levels of "view", I know I paid for one, I believe this is the lower pool view room which is what we paid for. I really loved the location.

I believe the storage is an issue in all rooms, but I could be wrong. Just with 5 of us, we felt like there wasn't enough space for the 5 nights we were there, but I do tend to over pack :) We weren't in the room very long. We came back and used the pool every day and I made the kids nap since we did the up super early/out really late trip plan, with a break mid day. I think we only turned on the tv a total of 10 min the whole stay.

Thank you again for your response! I'm glad you said something about the lack of storage because I don't think I've read that yet. I always unpack everything and then hide our suitcases on vacation, I like to make it feel like home for a week. :thumbsup2 I think I will pack some of those collapsible storage cubes to put clothes in.

Thank you! :flower3: I know I've seen all these pictures 100 times, but never looking for storage space. I guess I didn't even think about it because we usually book two bedroom suites off site. :confused3
