We are DVC members and stay at the Grand Californian with points. Can we pool hop to the new pool with the monorail slides at the Disney hotel?

I think the answer is no, because you need a room key to access the pools.

Good question though. Maybe someone has more info on this?

You are not allowed to pool hop in DLR or WDW.

I know DVC members can pool hop in WDW to some resorts - not stormalong Bay, for example. Never wanted to pool hop before but I think our kids will really like the slides at Disney hotel so hoping someone knows the answer for sure.

You may want to double check that.

Last time we asked in May, there was officially no pool hopping at DLR, even for DVC members. However, when we went to check out the DLH pool on our last visit, the attendant didn't really stop us from walking right in and looking around. Of course, we weren't there to swim, we were just looking, but I wonder if he would have said something even if we had suits on....

And for the record, andersonsc is right that there is some pool hopping allowed for DVC members at WDW, though not for some properties.

Pool Hopping is allowed (with the exception of Stormalong Bay) for DVC members at WDW, providing they have capacity to allow it.

The official rule is pool hopping is NEVER allowed at the DLR. That being said, while the new pool was being built, they were allowing DLH guests to pool hop.

They do not check IDs of everyone entering though, you just need a room key to enter the pool area.
