I think it's likely they will wipe the program again and offer something completely different. But nobody knows.Have they mentioned that they are actually cancelling it? I didn't bite the bullet and purchase ours like I should have.I am hoping this is related to the lawsuit and they will come back.
Except for those of us who were looking at post summer trips. I'm hoping they can at least tell us either way if there will be a new one or now so we know if we need to buy tickets. After all of their talk two years ago about offering a "completely different AP experience", and MK being basically the old AP experience under a new name, it makes me wonder if they might finally try whatever it was they were previously considering.
Honestly, since both Imagine and Enchant are blocked out for the summer starting this Friday and next Friday, it's not a bad time to take them off-sale.
Point taken. I feel like you're not a real Disney parks fan if you haven't had the "I can't believe I didn't buy the tickets before the price increase" moment at least once.Except for those of us who were looking at post summer trips. That's pretty much where I'm at. I have 28 days to decide what to do. What it would also mean is that I won't be booking as many days in the park if we need to buy tickets. We were planning at least two trips over the next year which the MK would have paid for itself.Point taken. You're a little bit in a double-bind, too. If you're going around Halloween, the reservations for tickets for those days will open at the end of June (probably worth setting a reminder), so it'd be another gamble for your trip if they don't announce something in the next few weeks.
I'll let the board chime in - but if it were me, I'd probably just buy tickets right as your days come available (so you can secure the reservations for those days), then upgrade to the new AP on your last day if it exists. I'd rather have the trip guarantee than take a chance on a hypothetical AP discount.
I think the way you do it is to try to return the original tickets and repurchase the new ticket deal. But you would lose your original reservations.I already bought 3 day tickets for a visit in June. I wonder if I will be able to get a refund on the overage since I could now get these tickets.
I love the sound of that! I'm guessing software and system changes to accommodate not just the booking but also the verification of "perks" you paid for in park would be a hurdle.I hope this means they are going to finally do whatever it was they initially intended to do with a revamped AP program.
Way back before the magic keys came out, they said a lot about a brand new customizable experience and all the AP surveys seemed to indicate some kind of pass that you could “build yourself” based on paying more for more features.
Then for whatever reason all that appeared to be scrapped and they rushed out Magic keys which was basically the old APs but with reservations and fewer features.
I hope they have now had the time to figure out something new and better.
