Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2026

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do a picture with all 11 medals?

Up and almost ready to head to head to the Half. I do appreciate that I get to sleep in a tiny bit longer at these races.

My kids had a blast participating in the 10K yesterday! If you saw Kate Bishop and Starlord stopping at every place possible for photos, that was them.
They definitely took the “soak it all up” mentality to heart, and they took 1:56 to finish. My husband joked that I got a warm-up walk for today’s race.

My poor 10 year old got a little overwhelmed with people congratulating her in the parks afterwards and decided to put her medal in her bag. Then she ended up taking a nap at a table in San Fransokyo.
If you have any doubts about taking a 10 and 12 year old to a 10K, I think it’s doable. A little harder for the 10 year old, but definitely possible.

Yes - 2024 which was the year I ran, there was a small accident that occurred before they closed the road and it took time to clear.

Oh wow, really? Do you not get a timing chip in the 5K?

As far as I can recall from the last 10 years of rD racing, the only timing that happens for a 5K is for Dopey runners. I've done DL 5Ks, but I guess I must have blocked out the rush to clear (and definitely don't recall a "balloon lady" before). Though I have started them all from A or B, even though I don't run fast. I know the first year back, they cut off a couple of character lines super early but I didn't remember which race.

If you run out of room, put the "bigger" medals around your neck and then hold the rest in your hands. For your scenario, I'd put Dumbo, Dopey and maybe C2C around your neck, then hold the rest of the WDW medals in one hand and the DL in the other. Also, @lookingforsunshine 's pic of the medals across her open arms is also a good way to fit them all, and again you could put a few around your neck if you need.

For the 10K: I don't know the mile mark but Donald and Goofy were at Space Mountain. Sorcerer Mickey was at the finish line. I'm guessing it was at 4.7 when you saw the storm trooper. I saw C3PO.

Thanks for the pic tips. The waterfall idea worked great. Crazy how different the pictures with CMs are here compared to MW. Usually at MW not many people in line to get pics. There are several long lines for pics at MK. Told my wife that her taking pics on her phone will work. Lol
