Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

In case this applies to others, you might want to check any perks your employer offers. Mine has a benefit through a third party called "Perks at Work," which offers Disney tickets at a slightly better rate than the Target offer.

I just tried to apply the Target code for a disneyland ticket through tripadvisor and it wouldn't let me. Said promo was expired or not applicable. Am I doing something wrong or did they close this option?

Expiration date is Oct 7 so it's def not expired, it's possible that they locked this up because too many people took advantage of it though. Did you find the tickets through the Things to Do portal?

FWIW there's another thread here about this, haven't seen other reports of people having the same issue yet.

Definitely user error on my part. I was viewing target's email on my phone and the 'Target-' part of the code was on a separate line so I didn't realize it was part of the code!

I definitely was afraid that they had shut it down since it seems like a really good deal compared to anything else out there.

For anyone else trying to do the Target Circle deal but stuck on only 3 day tickets available for race weekend, I did what someone else in the deal thread did. I changed the date to 12/31/23 and then a 5 day with Genie+ was available. I purchased that and then linked the ticket on Disneyland.com. It just shows as a 5 day with no dates anywhere. It allowed me to make park reservations off that ticket for my race weekend dates.

I also did it through the Rakuten app for the 12% back but I'm not too familiar with them. Is there anywhere in the app where I can see like an Order History type thing showing that it counted my TripAdvisor order?
Dude, thank you so much for this tip! I just bought a 4-day park hopper with Genie+ and was able to make reservations for my race weekend dates as well. Saved $110!

Yeah, I wanted a 6 day, also, but they only do up to 5. The Target deal was 3-5-7 days at WDW, and 1-2-3 days at DL. It was rather limited.
Thanks so much for sharing that this was also available at wdw! I’m not running at Disneyland this year but was curious what people thought of the start changes and now due to my curiosity and your help I saved $270 on tickets for marathon weekend!

So if I already bought my tickets... I cannot get a refund right? So I cannot use this discount. Bah I wanted to buy early cause I was afraid of them rising ticket prices again.

For those of you who may not follow the Budget Board, there is a great post about a Target Circle offer via TripAdvisor where you can save 20% on Disneyland tickets. I was able to buy a 3-day park hopper for Half Marathon Weekend for $336 (compared to $420).

With rumored ticket hikes coming soon, I was very happy to lock in my ticket for this trip now at 20% off the current price.

Adding my thanks for the tip. Finally (perhaps stupidly?) this was the nudge I needed to finalize my travel arrangements. Didn't get the 12% Rakuten deal, but still saved ~$100. And finally booked air/another hotel on points.

Where did you buy the tickets from?

For me, I had already bought 5 day tickets, and it seems like this deal only went to 3, so I couldn't use it, anyway.

I saw some people said they got around this by choosing a 2023 date when buying the ticket--it provide more options, including 5 day. And buying the ticket is totally unrelated to linking it and making reservations.

Other people might get some help from this. I had already bought my tickets, so I think trying to get a refund and do this might be more trouble than it's worth.

I know a lot of you have been talking about this a few days now I'm just chiming in. I click that alert icon and didn't see anything so I assumed there was nothing new on here- didn't realize the alerts are just for specific threads--anyway...
I booked PP Hotel a while back and then saw the start location. I was about to change it, but just decided to keep PP mainly because I figure my kids will enjoy it better staying on property. I'm sure by now those closer hotels figured it out and raised prices by now anyway. But curious about how far of a walk would it be from PP to the start? I'm good for a 10-15 minute warmup jog anyway before the race, so maybe the walk from hotel to the park could just be my warmup??

Awesome, I'm glad it worked for you too! I was nervous doing it myself, but it seemed like someone in the main deal thread did something similar. So I said Heck with it, I'm going to try it. And it worked! I figured other race weekend folks might be looking for more than just the 3 day that was initially appearing. Especially since someone confirmed that you can't add Genie+ length of stay if you don't initially buy it on the ticket.

Looks like it might be a mile but we really don’t know what they have planned for people to get to the start. On top of them choosing a completely different start and finish line, they might restrict pathway access and funnel people through security points. Things have changed a lot since they last had a race there.

I have a four day pass and the one DCA day I'm doing will be low key. There are only two must do attractions for me, three IF they have the California Soarin'. I'm not an Avengers fan so I'll skip that, maybe do TSM if the line is reasonable. Since I'll be at Princess with family, I figure we'll do TSM the day we're at Studios.
