I can't remember if I told you guys or not, but I'm Croc Sitting on this trip. A Croc named Flower is on her way to CA as we speak. She just returned from a trip to WDW. There's a whole thread on all the Cros and their adventures at the parks.
The Official Lime Lovin' Croc Exchange

That is SOOOOO cool--can't wait to meet Flower (and I just signed up on the Croc thread to have her or one of her siblings in November!)

Nah, not worried about luggage tags or mini golf coupons.:rotfl:

We want the DDP, and to do that, what have to book a package. It's been a pain in the rear to try to do that. I'll keep chipping away at it though.:)

I wonder--do you have to go through your local AAA office? Can you call a different one that may have more experience with booking WDW packages? (And I thought AAA made a big deal about themselves being Disney experts? I certainly get emails and mailings from them about it . . . . . )

I finally got our package reservations done with a great AAA travel agent.

Since the local agent I was working with was a little on the......Disney slow side, I asked on the DIS if anyone knew of a great AAA travel agent. I received a PM from another DIS member who lives in Washington, and she recommended an agent she works with on the west side of the state, so I gave that AAA agent a call, and she was WONDERFUL!!!! She totally knew her Disney stuff, and got us all set up!!!!

We're staying at POP for $65.60 plus tax/night. That's a great rate.:thumbsup2

Our total package: POP room for 7 nights, 8 day base tickets, and DDP, for 2 adults and 2 children = $2059.96

Very nice! We were on the DDP when we last went to WDW, and we were STUFFED the whole time we were there! Make sure you make your ADRs as soon as you can, so you can be sure to get in everywhere you want.

Can I vent?

1. Taxes (need I say more?)
2. Doctors (was supposed to take my Mom to a 4 p.m. appointment at UCLA--two hours away. Get email fifteen minutes ago from doctor saying--"oh--can you be here at 1 p.m.?" uh . . . . . no. believe it or not, there are others of us who have schedules too and we can't drop everything because you probably want to go out for drinks.
3. DBF has been out of work for over six months and the poor guy has sent out thousands of resumes. . . . . he is at his wits' end and it is making me crazy too. (It doesn't help that I have a very successful career.) Now his unemployment has run out . . . . he's pissy (I don't blame him) and I'm pissy (between Mom's health issues and too much work--I didn't get to catch up this weekend because I was at MouseAdventure) and between the two of us it is just crazy right now.
4. The problem with giving your clients above average service is that they come to expect it ALL THE TIME so when you do take a little bit of time (like the aforementioned MouseAdventure) they don't understand why everything is not done RIGHT NOW.

I think I'm gonna have a stroke.

Seriously. :upsidedow :scared: :scared:

It looks like you could use a

Hi there!!

I do not blame you AT ALL for not wanting to leave their sides. How fun to be there with them for the first time. I hope you all have a wonderful trip with lots of magical memories. :wizard:

And maybe you can join the next one! ;)

Aww, thanks for the wonderful thoughts and pixie dust!!! I will absolutely be there for the next "Ladies Only"!

Hope you all have a wonderful time!! :flower3:

So I had a really bad craving for cake after class tonight, so I went to pavilions and bought a slice of cake and a carton of milk.

There is nothing like Disneyland dessert:sad2: , I'll just have to wait until next week to enjoy it!

Its almost time!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Im so excited!! Dh is a little less excited though..:rolleyes1 I think he is afraid he will forget to feed the kids or something!:lmao: :lmao:

Good morning everyone!:woohoo:

I'm having a few second thoughts about staying at POP when we go to WDW. The reason being because.......well, do you know the show "Everybody Loves Raymond"? Yeah, well, we're taking Marie with us. You know, Ray's mom.....Debra's mother-in-law. Except it's Justin's mom, my mother-in-law, and her name is Patricia, but other than that, they are one-in-the-same person. Oh boy, not sure what to expect here. I'm trying to visualize how this episode would play out.popcorn:: :scared:

I was just wondering, is anyone here going to do a trip report?

I've never done a TR, but I do want to do one for this trip. Plus I'll have Flower the Croc so I'll have to do some kind of TR to report on her adventures.

That will be SO fun! I'm so glad you arranged for her to join us! :thumbsup2

I think it will be fun too.

Ahhh, the wonderful free dining package :) You can't get both the AAA discount AND the FREE dining on the same reservation, just FYI. The "code" that Disney uses is the same for all travel agencies so you are not losing anything by NOT going through AAA.

Weren't you originally staying at AKL with a discount code?? Did you change to POP so you could add the dining plan?

Well if your MIL is a hotel snob, then she will probably not be happy with POP. I see a lot of people complain about the value resorts, but personally, my family enjoys them and POP is our favorite.

Eventhough we are DVC members we stay at POP 1-2 nights a trip. Believe it or not this is my sons favorite Disney hotel  . He loves the retro feel and all the nick-nacks on the wall in the loby. And they also have a nice selection of food in the food court (It's better than most of the deluxe resorts). If you aren't in the preferred building make sure you request to be in the 50's or 70's section since these have easier access to the main building.

If you mother in law is nostaglic she'll enjoy the hotel. Make sure you take her on a walk on the "Memory Lane" path. There are a lot of signs with trivia facts from the 50's to the 90's and you'll also see families of rabbits enjoying the vegetation.

If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me :thumbsup2 .

I think Capri is going to WDW in November or December :confused3 . So she wouldn't qualify for the Free dining. But it would be nice if you could combine both :thumbsup2 .
