:wave2: I have been reading along and can't believe your trip is so close. You are going to have a fab time! party:

Who's shirt am I supposed to leave at the front desk of the HOJO?

Sorry ladies, I thought I had written everything down, but I'm missing this one bit of information, and I know that I'm supposed to leave someone's shirt for them at the front desk of the HOJO for her to pick up when she checks in. So which one of you ladies was that?:confused3

(It was someone who was checking in late on Friday.)

It know it's not Katie......or Stacielee......oh shoot, who was that?!:headache:

Mine was going to Ruth on Thursday so when I check in on Friday morning it will be waiting for me in the room.

I like the sounds of this place. Must find menu for Steakhouse 55. Maybe I will try to sneak in there on Monday when most of you are gone. I bet Lauren and Ruth can be talked into it if I want to go there. ;)

Or not. rofl

The restaurant decor sounds great. But the breakfast menu is more my style than the dinner. However, I'd be kidding myself if I think I'm going over to the DL Hotel for breakfast the day we are leaving. I'll be going to the PARKS!!!!

:lmao: I thought you had lost it for a bit but glad by the second paragraph I see you found your self again :thumbsup2

I don't know......In the future I'm thinking HOJO's new pirate splash and slide area will be calling our names from now on whenever we make a trip down to DL.:woohoo:
Yeah, that does sound pretty cool! But I read on another thread that someone was quoted a price of $169 a night????

Uhhh, I hope that's wrong.

I'm hoping she considers it a tardy only :wizard: That'd be magical!
Here's hoping! :wizard:

The other really cool thing about the PP is that at the same pool deck you can see "most" of the higher fireworks at DL AND they play the Julie Andrews soundtrack . . . . .
Oh now that would be nice. ::yes::

:wave2: I have been reading along and can't believe your trip is so close. You are going to have a fab time! party:
Hi there!! Yes, it is close. Finally. LOL Thanks for stopping in to say hi. Come by anytime.

Matter of fact, why aren't you going along?? ;)

I saw that you could order off the menu at the GCH, but the prices seemed high to me so I skipped it. Remember, I have to times everything we do by SIX! :rotfl2:

I honestly never even thought to check out the meal at the Paradise Pier. Don't know why. :confused3 I just was always thinking of either the Plaza Inn or Goofy's Kitchen.

But I checked out the Lilo and Stitch one and it seems good. (hopefully the menu prices at allears are current!) Plus I realized I've never even set foot into the hotel so this way we can look around someplace new.

Sooooo, I booked the Lilo and Stitch breakfast for one morning in June!! :cool1: :yay: My DH is going to be so thrilled..... :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Thanks again Chris.

Beth, I totally think you'll like it. Zoe loves it there. The food is pretty good too. We've done a combo of ordering off the menu and ordering off the buffet, whatever people wanted.
We have eaten at Lilo and Stitch breakfast three times. Twice, it was the morning of the day that we leave, and then went to BaB afterwards. Kinda nice way to keep the magic going a bit longer, and didn't feel like it was taking away from our time in the parks
Just an aside, since the boys don't really care about the character meals at all, we have frequently split up, with Zoe and I going to the character meal and all the boys (ie. Dad and the boys) have done something else. It has worked out well for us, as it's less than half the cost (we have to pay adult cost for both the boys!) and more enjoyable, as the boys aren't put off by the characters. Then, when there's a really special occasion (such as Zoe's bday), it's not like we drag them there all the time. Though, secretly, I think my older son really does enjoy it. I can truthfully say that my younger son really doesn't! :rotfl:

If you want to do it earlier, I might be able to join you! I'll be there still. It will depend on whether I get my unemployment by then.

I had the Two Times Four--what they don't tell you in the description is that they also give you about a pound of breakfast potatoes! I ate the french toast (love those carbs) and most of the bacon and sausage (need my protein don't you know), a bite or two of the eggs and one bite of the taters (cause I was SO full!) The coffee was great too . . . . . . so have I enticed you guys enough yet? ;)

Thanks for your info on it. It's nice to hear others thoughts and experiences.

I also thought of splitting up the way you said you do. I'd thought about taking the twins (age 7) to the Princess breakfast at DCA. I know for sure my DH and DS would not be interested in that! :rotfl:

Then DH can take my older two on some rides or something. I will keep that thought in mind for another trip. Maybe October.

It's a Denny's over by the HoJo right? So go find us the menu for Denny's so we can compare and we'll let you know. ;)

Better yet, do you think we could get Steakhouse breakfast at about 1am????? I am normally hunger AFTER the parks close. I start to relieve my youth and the late nites at the bars. Always hungry if I am out that late. I eat dinner early and am starving by midnight but I don't want to stop to get something until I am walking out of the park and everything is closed. Don't be wasting time ordering & eating food when I could be riding. I am feeling at least 1 Denny's run after the parks.

Just wanted to add that we have had breakfast at Steakhouse 55 three times and every time it was wonderful. It is very classy in there (cloth napkins, pix on the walls, very quiet atmosphere) and the food is excellent. And the portions are huge. I got the burrito last time and only ate half. And I am a fairly big eater. The eggs benedict is quite tasty as are all of the standard breakfast foods. And what Cheryl said about the potatoes is true...for whatever reason they pile about two cups of potatoes on every plate that comes with them. Service is quick and polite. Most servers there are older and have worked there for many years. For us (3 adults) it is a nice change from the character meals (pricy, loud & crowded) or quick eats (donuts or granola bars). Plus DD gets a discount which really helps, but so do AP's;) .

And just to add, Lilo & Stitch is our fav character meal, but only if staying at PP - which is once a year.

Hey y'all! I'm finally home after spending waaaaay too many hours in the car with my three kids. :headache:

I've already mowed the lawn, watered the plants, unpacked, started the laundry and washed the dog (geesh was she DIRTY)! Now I'm gonna go catch up on some of the shows we missed while we were gone.

I'm planning on starting the name tags for the lanyards tomorrow. This trip is gonna be here before I know it!

The Steakhouse does sound good! It would be nice if some of ya'll could make it there for one meal.

I live pretty close to three, and I hardly don't go. When I do it is sooooo good. But I don't think about it enough. Thank you Beth, now I am craving one.

Ummm, your welcome. :rotfl2:

Save that craving!! I really think those who are going should make a late night run one night. LOL Especially for those who've never tried it. It's a must do.

Hmmm. . . . not sure if they're open as late as 1 a.m. to be able to feed Shelley after she exits the parks! Where IS the In n Out near DL? May have to find a 24-hour Del Taco instead and get a breakfast burrito.

(I will have a car so can drive whoever wants to go.)

Oh, I do have one rule however when you go on midnight food runs (dates from my college years--MANY years ago)--whoever is in the car has to roll down the windows, no matter how cold it is, and sing CHRISTMAS CAROLS at the top of your lungs!

:rotfl: :rotfl: (my college roomie lives in the United Arab Emirates but when she visits (usually with her now 9 year old) we have to have at least one Christmas carol in the car session even now)

I don't know where one is. Here is a link to some locations:
http://www.in-n-out.com/locations.a...city=&stateProvince=&postalCode=92802&x=0&y=0

It says they are open until 1 a.m. except Fri and Sat when they are open until 1:30.

Better brush up on those Christmas Carols! :rotfl2:

I'm not a big In 'n Out fan but I can definitely go for Del Taco. Their deluxe chilli cheese fries are unbelieveable (no where near on my diet.....but we're going to be on vacation :rotfl: )

Yep, I've got that one written down already......thank goodness. Sometimes I wonder about myself. The next thing I know, I'm putting the milk in the pantry and the cereal in the fridge. Aye, aye, aye.......I've killed too many brain cells over the years.
